game probs....

    Soo dev team what have ya done now.. I have been trying to log in all day the game..you cant see anything text yes.. try to enter map and all I see is a light blue floor that looks like an abyss...cant see monsters or my own char.. bad enough ya cant play I tried entering hognis mines to go out and then it was a forever wait to get into.. the game board was missing a ton of graphics, cant see monsters and all. its event time I have lost 4 hours to even trying to play..keep in mind before you answer, and no arrogant rude responses this time you know what ill say ..ok this is a $3000 dollar entertainment unit with premium graphics cards and high end audio ..love pounding music and graphics..
    when entering , towns and all you cannot see hardly anything , the monsters were shooting at me but I cant see any shot or visual..seems like the invisible laser dragon issue has spread to every thing in game ..no one can play like this.. I cant tell ya what I feel right now..who wouldn't,,now im down on event time and I made time for game to find this,,what a joke..
    you have any suggestions, you have any desire to replace pearls that I wasted from the laser issue king char when ya cant see anything..i don't think you do or care ..I have read a ton of threads on this from many players ...last time you all told me rude and said I cant use a computer ..well for one .im no tech guy but I can use my com..to a degree but no one is allowed to touch this rig and it never sees face book or stupid sites ...my property.
    it was hard enough to try to even load the teammates tab and try to see whos on all that was blank to so I clicked and hit keys till I found guild area .as ya cant see it.
    then I tried to text guild missed a few times as I guessed where chat area was. till I found it..10 mins later was at least able to text asking is this guild hello..then fieri responded, she wanted to know why I didn't respond everyone was waiting for me.....told them I cant see even a plyer request dropping .im some pissed right now.. as a non premium player will ya even care...if any of you dev team want to respnd with that way you did before ..please don't ..have a mature game tech guy respond only..really..i play on tegan server..some players said that after this recent patch they have major issues im not alone but this is not kool..

  2. @.krom70. Please run some speed and stability tests on your i-net connection and also run some ping tests between your computer and tegan.drakensang.com per the instructions in the forum's Tech FAQ.

    If what you are describing was happening to everyone, you would have a good reason to post this, but what you are describing sounds like corrupted cached graphics files or inability to download the graphic files which is a standard problem with standard troubleshooting. A $3000 rig does not mean that everything will run flawlessly for you all the time/every time. It just means that when it is running right, it will be smoother, and have a lower demand on your system resources. That being said, you had a whole lot of complaining in your post, but nothing about what you tried to do to fix it. For example, did you clear the Java Cache, check the Java version, delete the DSOTemp folder, try both the client and the browser, check your internet connection speeds... and so on.

    You show up on the forums for the first time in about a month demanding that the people who respond not be rude or arrogant, but your very post is incredibly rude and arrogant. You show up and blame everyone from the developers to the moderators, but don't even have the common courtesy to phrase your post politely or use appropriate punctuation and capitalization. You make assumptions and accusations, and you don't even once stop to consider that maybe the problem exists between your $3000 computer rig and your chair.

    So, the next time you want to go off on a rant, stop, think, and do a little bit of reading of the Tech FAQ section/polite asking for help before showing up with a bazooka to blast anyone in sight.

    I do not assume. I "hypothesize." A hypothesis is based on observations and experience.

    I have a $2500 rig and have experienced similar problems. I have always been able to fix the problems using the troubleshooting guide. Therefore, I hypothesize, based on the symptoms of his problems and his lack of information on what he tried to do to fix the issues, that he has not attempted to do much on his end to fix the problem.

    Anyone who writes a 471 word rant about a problem they are having, but not one word of that rant is the steps they did to correct their problems immediately loses respect from me. As a daily part of my job, I assist computer users when they have problems. Nine times out of ten, when I ask "What have you tried?" they give me a blank stare. Now if they politely say "I didn't do anything, I don't know what to do," I help them quickly, efficiently, and without complaint. If a user immediately puts me on blast for a problem that is not my fault (and likely not theirs either), all of a sudden, a problem I could fix in 5 min can easily take the better part of a day as I refer them through the proper channels to assist.

    Krom is coming to the forums for help. He has no manners while asking. If I were a mod, I'd just direct him to support and close the thread because, even though I would likely be able to help, he has ticked me off so I'd make him go through the long, proper, way of getting help.

    How often do we have truly clueless people come asking for help? Quite often! Either they are new to the game or they just have no clue how to troubleshoot. The difference is that those people come to the forums and ask for help, not demand it. And when they do, they are usually helped promptly, efficiently, and politely. (See linked thread for an example of how the community responds to a polite request for assistance)

    Wow, you counted!

    I'm a tech support geek too and I have to say, not knowing the ins and outs of a computer is not something to be ashamed of. That is what keeps me employed. :)

    My sister always tells me "The computer is a toaster!" implying that the computer should just "work" and she shouldn't have to know how to fix it when it doesn't. She can however, follow instructions and try those first before lamenting that the sky is falling. If for some reason she couldn't, she'd hire someone to work on the computer before complaining on a forum for a problem she hadn't tried to resolve herself.

    If you want assistance, there are many here to help. Be polite. Ask for help. Don't lambaste those very people who are willing to help work with you to fix it.

    $3000 dollar rig but apparently there is no shift key and the period button gets stuck. Congrats to all of you that continued to read after you saw the post had no formatting to show you where to take a breath. I often wonder why the forum rules are pinned?

    Proper English please
    Please keep in the back of your mind that your web announcement can be read all over the world. For this reason, you should try to use proper English as much as possible.

    Whoever thought they could avoid using the shift key because they think that capital letters are unnecessary in the English language, and who ignore the netiquette as well, make the text just as hard to read as a person, WHO ALWAYS WRITES THEIR TEXTS USING CAPITAL LETTERS, WHICH HURT THE EYES AFTER A COUPLE OF WORDS AND DECREASES THE READING SPEED DRAMATICALLY.

    Missing punctuation can also make sentences run into each other which makes it hard to logically separate sentences from each other making them hard to read (such as in this run-on sentence).


    Also typing and spelling errrors don't exaclty help to incRease the readabilitie of a txt.

    For this reason, you should always take the time to read through the text and correct any obvious mistakes before posting it.

    Those who obviously don't make an effort to formulate their questions properly shouldn't expect others to make the extra effort to answer them.

    Be polite
    Even when you publish a question or answer in a rush, please re-read it before hitting the send button. Often a text which is written in a hurry will have a more negative effect than was actually intended. Consider whether or not the text can be misunderstood. This can happen quite easily if the text has an ironic undertone. Emoticons such as a ;-) (wink) can help to avoid confusion and misunderstanding.

    Impatient behavior
    Some answers take time. We're happy about the widespread participation in the forum, but we can't guarantee any quick replies. Impatient behavior won't help your case any further.

    thank you to you..love the bazooka thing..just that the other guy is more worried about not seeing a capital letter and all ..I guess he missed where I was told I cant count and all in the previous threads by dev team..I was more worried they would respond the same way agian. I do have mannners .but that is not the point..i have however entered the site more hesitant ..and I didn't care how many words there are ...I have made some cleaning efforts to cache and regularily do defrag schedule ..and run my HP maintenance, I have also tried to make sure that I have updated my driver files ect.. thank you to all who have tried to make clear suggestions.

    yeah thank you I was doing that...and running my Hp care program ....I believe that is a factory program ...
