Getting Helmet of Black Warlord

I have four Helmet of Black Knight which is the requirement for Black Warlord.
Three L29 and One L30 = it says the item cannot be combined.

Do I need the same level?
Do I need beyond level 30's or beyond 30's mainly small gapped level item?
Do I need to get 50 ?

 

Make sure you are not wearing one when you try to combine. Levels dont have anything to do with it.

 

Yea.. or may be some of them with a stocked gem...

 

I just combined 2 level 45 squre pauldrons from the previous event and 1 level 47 and 1 level 48 squire pauldrons from the current event yesterday, so levels should not matter. Result was a level 48 knight pauldron. I plan to get 4 of each and wait until level 50 to create warlord gear, as I just hit 48 with my dwarf.

Most likely you either are wearing one or have a gem in one as BigPapa and thebearreturns suggested above.

 

I was wearing one of it. and sad I upgraded them to L30 and melt it after disappointment. Wasted time. Gotta hunt again sad. Thanks for the tips anyone. Good day

You know you have to get 16 black Squire helms...

Make sure it is not the Black Knight Helm...
