Improving the moon events

    @ mods, this means we cannot write other games' name? Just asking if it is the reason for the [edit]...
     
  2. That is correct. For example, if you wanted to say the something similar without referencing a game, you could say "There are plenty of games that release clones with only minor changes every year as a form of advertising and exploiting an existing player base interested in a 'new' game."

    White wolf could be easily introduced as part of the Fullmoon event, cursed amphora in map 1 could still drop the black wolf while the cursed amphora in map 2 could drop the white wolf. It would be challenging enough to get the white wolf then.

    what does this have to with my suggestion? If white wolf dropped in new moon, it wouldn't be part of my suggestions

    Full moon event become worser month by month, lower drop, lower all, and is not just my opinion but also my coleagues from guild agreed.

    I also finished event in few runs, and did about 50 runs more, no rune drop, very low drop at uniques from bosses, almost no andermant drop . Minibosses also used to have a decent drop of old uniques, but no more.
    Instead of improving events this one seems to be ruined month by month.

    it's been this way since they reworked the event

    Also, yes, the rune drop is terrible, but there's a reason to that, the rune is precious

    Bloodmoon event is fast and once you finished, you can continue farming with donor. ( and if you want, you can use ag to have extra drop rate for event progress) It works as events should work.

    Newmoon event is slow, map1 is dispersive, and map2 is not worth of it (no extra progress, no extra woods )
    ( and you cannot improve your event progress drop rate ).
    1st you need to use scroll ( one each ) and than put 50x woods.
    The whole mechanism of newmoon event is extremely longwinded.

    Hope with new incoming releases they will fix newmoon event.

    Finished the progress in 3 1/2 runs ... got 0 runes ... but i don't care.
    I have got only one rune from all the previous events combined and i don't care because i don't need them. I don't need any of these items either.
    I am only collecting those draken and the event is finished in 3 runs for me ... not wasting my time with useless events.

    don't know whats up but this month I cant even get thru " Protect Rubina". Its like 2/3 of the way thru shes dead, over and over and over. I don't get it, never had half this trouble before.

    it's because they rebalanced the monsters and them being so simple minded they didn't think that perhaps they should have also strenghtened NPCs in defence quests, in order not to screw up those quests

    You are not alone... the good news is that it is "easier" at higher difficulties. As near as I can tell, the NPC HP/Damage scales at the same rate as the monsters. By that logic, HP scales faster than damage, so the NPCs become 'tougher' as the difficulty goes up. Problem is that most players who are playing in normal/painful need the tougher NPCs at the lower difficulties.

    My recommendation is that you try the defends in a group. With more players using crowd control skills, it should be much easier.

    I must say, it does bring back a bit of nostalgia. Defends used to be really tough and pretty much required a team of 3-5. Only in the last couple years have defends become so easy that everyone expects to be able to solo them with an average character. The Fox defend that you had to do after Destructor three years ago was nearly impossible to solo and required at least two players to handle the two directions the enemies came from, but it was not "easy" until you had at least 4.

    At first, I was disappointed at how tough that quest is now, but think of it this way:

    1. The reward chest from that quest isn't worth much anyway
    2. You can run it on a loop, immediately restarting the quest after Rubina dies, in order to kill a massive amount of wolves, thereby fulfilling the 500 wolf kills portion of the Full Moon Hunting Season repeatable quest that much more quickly
    Much more disconcerting to me was the much, much lower drop of wolf blood in wolf mob kills, especially in the Bloodmoon map. In previous iterations, I wouldn't kill every single wolf in that map, but I'd stop in several mass mob points, wipe them out quickly on the way to the 3 mini-bosses, picking up dozens, maybe a hundred more drops when enhanced by the drop buffs. Now, there's no point in killing anything but the three mini-bosses, and maybe the bloodmage (though the item drop from him is typically underwhelming).

    EDIT: Just did one Painful daytime run in the Moonsilver Mine (I know, statistically irrelevant sample size): Other than the mini-boss (who dropped a decent 600 silver essence), I got 84 silver essence for the entire run, including 3 champions. Something is very wrong here.

    EDIT (2018-07-27): Again, just one run, but … on Normal in the Mine, I got 45 silver essence from mobs (2's & 5's … maybe one drop of 10) and 100 from the mini-boss … 145 silver essence per run???????? I may document my results for awhile to confirm how bad the drops are, but … it's so depressing :-(

    ty all for replies......if cant solo may quit game. don't really like grouping and game is reaching a dead end for soloists I guess. but again TY for responses

    Just as in Varholm, we have the silver mine to collect silver essence, we could have in Blackborg a separate map to collect the firewood

    but that is the map of the defense event

    Not exactly the farming map, since you required 4 runs in the map to acquire all the goods

    In fact I'd like to see the Invasion event return... but like the Kingshill one, not like the latest ones... which were crap.
