    i have a noob question

we all know, attack speed affects speed of cast

like skill pvp lv 30 from mage

when i am use lightning strike ( with magic virtuoso)
with speed 2.0 and speed 1.0. i fell the delay impact is just same, just the different is fast cast between speed 2.0 and 1.0

and i fell the same when i am use chain lightning ( with quicker missiles)
speed 2.0 and 1.0 is same speed of chain lightning but the different is on fast cast

    my question :
quiker missile and magical virtuoso are depend on attack speed or not ?
or just my feeling is the same :D

    thanks, sorry for my english

I've been wondering the same.. However, as far as I remember, a long time ago (while there was an old forum), there was some sort of a change considering this.. if my memory serves me well, mages were a little "bugged" so the casting of lightning strike was faster with faster attack speed - which shouldn't have been a case, so it was changed (nerfed :p).. so I think attack speed has nothing to do with how quickly they are casted, but I'm not sure.

No, attack speed doesn't effect the speed of impact, only the casting time of it.

Magical Virtuoso decreases the time it takes for a lightning strike to hit from the moment it is casted (the spell ring appears on the ground)

Quicker Missiles increases the speed at which missiles travel... Also, since every missile disappears after being in motion for a certain time, the faster missiles will be able to travel a longer distance before they disappear.

A while ago, there was a 'bug' involving attack speed and lightning, but it didn't increase speed of impact or anything. The attack speed actually increased the damage that lightning strikes dealt... by a small amount but still somewhat noticeable.

And even longer ago, attack speed used to affect the casting speed of destruction ray... and since it is a ray that travels to it's farthest end as soon as it is casted, casting speed can be lumped in with the speed of impact. This was changed, however, and Destruction's casting speed is no longer affected by attack speed. (R089 I believe)

attack speed affects the rate of missiles per second(frequency) and the lvl 30 pvp skill determines how fast your missile/fireball travels through a particular distance...same with casting lightning
