Is there no discussion on the latest defeat event

Am I missing something or is there no discussions on the latest Defeat Event?

I am lvl 42. Why can't I do Gorga(normal) for the event. I only get quests for M'Edusa and Fiery Rust-Bearer.

 

You mean on top of the thread in this very category (second one down from yours) and the official one? Nope, guess there isn't . You didn't even search, did you ?

Also, learn to use the "Edit" button; it's right beneth your post .

Anyway, at lv42, you should have Fiery Rust Bearer and the one for defeating 3 difficult bosses 3 times each, according to the Wiki. Regular Gorga isn't an option for your level category.

 

yes I have the ones you mentioned, as well as M'Edusa.

M'Edusa is the same level as Gorga(normal) are both level 38-39 in the wiki. Why would I have one but not the other

 

Just a wee mention that the *Ration* frags are very few and far between. Since the event started I have successfully received 2. This makes it very difficult to help guild members, who wish to acquire the Heredur doll. Other members have the same problem. Whilst the very few are fortunate and get at least one drop from the *3 Bosses* quest.
Is there a reason for this.

Disconnection from the game is now frequent, with solo/group experiencing this 3x or more whilst on event quest.
Is anyone else experiencing an increase in this area.

 

Don't know... must be a glitch, since you shouldn't be having M'Edusa either at lv42.

 

Medusa is a same level as Gorga but Medusa is not great boss. At one point Gorga was the Destructor of Drkensang (end boss).
I have level 40 toons and I can choose only Gorga, Herald and Sigrismarr on hard mode ... and that is good because if Gorga normal was available I could finish the event in few hours.

 

Not if you were getting the normal Gorga reward of 10 per 3 kills... would take forever or at least as long as Kristoff.

 

do we need to kill all 4 to get a drop or can it be just one @ the circus?

 

You could conceivably only kill 1 of the 4 if you only need one drop for the pet, but since they are stunnable and subject to double armor breaks if you have a balanced group, i would kill all 4 anyway for the potential legendary items and the melts.

oh ok thanks, but with the lag i fight as well as the monsters so i do the event alone. it's only 1 drop per entry is what i needed to findout. i will/can kill them off one at a time.
been to circus 4x times and -0- parts, all runs solo and 1 run killed all 4. the walk-through seems to imply that every run can give a drop from all of them if you kill them all.

 

i done 5 circus runs with 5/5 group and got 2 pieces both the same weapon did 1 run solo and got second piece - shield - am now 2/4

well if you kill a boss in circus he drops what he drops then you kill the second boss and again you get drops from that one . so on it goes so you get 4 drops in total , i guess if luck is with you, you could get more then 1 piece of the doll in the map.hasnt happened to me (yet).
i think each boss drops the same piece (not sure) i got shield from the spider and if i remember correctly weapon from Heredur twice.

 

Some of you gotta stop wineing about the droprate of the circus. you guy have it so easy in this event compare to the last. At least you can summon all 4 bosses for 1 map. Last event we can only summon1 boss 1 per map. stop EDIT and start farming harder. Crying on the forum now wont make the pieces drop. This event they also increase the droprate for the pieces too., so you guy are really lucky.Best way to get those rotation map fast is to kill khaly and mortis. will drop in every 2-4 kill

 

haha sorry if i sound like i am complaining it's just unclear if they all drop the parts in 1 run
btw i got all 4 pieces now.
with several thousand hours of play and all pve quest done for a couple of years i am no stranger to farming.

 

Wait. I'm confuzzled (yeah, that's a word... or maybe not, who cares - you got the point )... what's the better/faster way to go? Kristoff or 3 Hard bosses? As I've said, I plan on finishing the event in its last 5 days, so I have to have a definite target before I get at it. Thanks!

 

If you get a good grp,with even greens,then i would suggest bosses,and you get travel rations for circus too.But as you said the last 5 days the good groups would mostly be gone.
Kristoff is fast in terms of gaining progress but can be a bit boring running those long stretches of stalgard.

 

Played a little this morning and came to the conclusion that either method is OK... problem is finding a good group. Most of the ones I got in today were very unorganized and didn't last long. Problem with the bosses is that, unless you make a full group and then go, there's gonna be people at either 0/3, 1/3 or 2/3, but almost never on the same as at least one other group member, then there's lower level people who argue that they should be let in, when they have different quests... this is why it's important to have a good friends' list and a good guild. I hope I'll see more friends on later on and that the guild I'm testing out right now will be more active towards mid-day.

 

Personally I believe the 3 boss run is better, but Kristoff is faster.

Early in the event, I ran the 3 bosses with some guild members and the drops were really nice (at least for melting) and travel rations dropped every couple of runs. Once finding groups got tougher, I ran Kristoff over and over again to finish the event.

The only issue I had with Kristoff is there is little to no hope of getting good drops while killing him, mostly white and green drops. However it is fast.

 

I dont notice much of a difference between Kristoff and 3 bosses for main event progress if most of the group players are comparable to you. So I think 3 bosses is better overall, since you get much better melts and circus passes in the same time in the same amount of time.

However, if all you have available is a weak group then soloing Kristoff will be better.

 

First off, thanks for replying . I've sacrificed a day of studying yesterday (don't worry about me, I still have two full ones to make up for it) to see how much I can do in a day. Frankly, only did Hard boss runs... yes, better drop, chance at Circus rations and easier to find a group for. I've only just unlocked Stalgard, and running to the far west of that map to do Kristoff isn't very pleasant. It's much less dangerous to run through The Hidden Sanctum, Eternal Watch & Temple Sector . I managed to get 900 completion at the end of the day, and I've had some slow times, when a group disbanded, friends had to go, I had to go or whatnot... so if I keep at it, I should have a relatively easy time finishing it in the last 5 days. Maybe most groups going for the bosses will have already finished the event by then, but here's the catch: they will still go. Why? For Circus rations of course! So there's still hope of finding good people to go to then, either friends or guildmates or strangers (chances in that order).

About the Circus... do the portals work even when the event is not active, or is it like DoE and the map is empty when the event is off, even if you have rations to get you there? I'm not going to bother for real for the Heredur pet (still, 1/4 from just the first two runs killing all 4 bosses), but there's nothing else to use the portals for, so...

A little feedback on the event... well, it's pretty nice. I've always liked Hard boss runs, so I don't really get bored of doing it over & over. Drops are nice (only found one keeper item: a better armor belt, exo. but with two lines of ~200, which is very nice) and good for melts, though this time I chose to sell for gold, stocking up for that 1k cape (won't be getting it anytime soon, but amassing at least part of the cost from now isn't bad, especially since this event's a gold mine... literally). I've also found that the Resistance Command Center is a very good city to use, since everything you need (spawning circle, travel stone, event NPCs, blacksmith, essence merchant) is in one spot, very close to one another, which helps speed it up (as compared to, say, Kingshill, where you'd have to run to the one end to give & retake the quest, then rush to the travel stone back on the other side, etc.).

No ... there is no Gorga normal quest for level 40. Level 40 players are lucky they have Herald (hard) 3 kills, Gorga (hard) 3 kills and Sigrismarr (hard) 3 kills ... and they are getting 121 insignia out of those quests. I was playing the event with my level 40 DK and I was playing with my level 45 friends ... we were doing the same thing and I was getting 21 insignia more. The only difference is I had to finish the quest with the quest giver after each return to town and they were finishing it after whole sequence of kills.
