    Improving my legendary piece for 1 lvl (adding +1.4 only to dmg) costs around 197,000 GOP? Am i not seeing something here or does getting strong in this game rely on these random enchantments?

    Depends on which level you would upgrade it from, sounds about right for a mid level legend. That number is not too much though at endgame. Try to farm Halls of the Dead regularly and you will get much more gop per day. if you are not strong enough for HOD or dont get group, farm grimmagstone till endboss all day to get lot of gop, if not that strong or no goup, farm loxley caverns and arachna all day and melt the regular unique drop(spider axe) all day for good gop.

    This is a grind game for getting strong. the more you grind the more gop you have the stronger beyond your physical level your character would be. you can combine the gems you get to get higher tier gems like flawless to splintered to simple etc to get additional enchantments on your items. Once you havea firm grasp of your character and this game, level up. endgame items and maps are a lot better.
