Item Prioritization Issues

Hello guys and girls, I'm pretty new to this game I'm only level 15. Now im struggling to find out if certain gear is better than others. For instance im using a purple belt 5 armour value +24 hp + 27 hp + 15 crit hit value and a gem slot. But I just picked up a blue belt that has 5 armour value (base) + 1 damage + 24 armour value. The blue belt has a higher armour value whilst the purple belt has a ton of added hp. Should I use the Blue belt or should I use the Purple belt? And are Purple items ALWAYS better than blue ones?

Hi, I suggest you using purple belt since critical is more important than armor, and hp, I think, is more important too. And one gemslot (not sure about blue).
But with proceeding the game, you should look for a belt with +dmg and/ or crit. And crit is important for DKs because they don't have quiver or book for extra crit rate.

That is the opinion of a ranger. Generally they are all about "A good defense is a strong offence", but coming from a DK, HP and armor are your best friend. You need to be in the thick of the fight as a tank and you won't last long without good HP and Armor. If I have to chose between armor/HP vs Crit/Damage, I would likely chose the first.

On the other hand, you are LVL 15 at the moment. You will be changing your items several times in your near future. Don't get too attached to any one item. Personally, unless you are trying to be highly competitive in PvP, (or you use premium for free purple identification) you can be fine with blue items up until about LVL 25 and then purple until LVL 40. That is when you will want to start investing in uniques and legendaries.
