Java wil not let me open game since new release.

When I try log into the game it says the application is bloced by security settings
    Name: DrakensangOnlineWin32_7
    Location: http://heredur.drakensang.miniclip.com

I added drakensang to the exceptions list in the java security control panel but i still get the error message. I re-instlled java and cleared the DSOClient folder.

    Hi @DarthMater

You should clear Java settings as well.
Start -> all programs -> Java -> configure Java
then in that pop up window clear all settings.

EDIT: if this does not work uninstall java and manually delete all settings and files left.

I just did, deleted java again and any remaining files and it still blocks the application

Hey, I think i know how you can fix the problem:
    Find the Java Control Panel
    Windows 8
Use search to find the Control Panel
    • Press Windows logo key + W to open the Search charm to search settings
      OR
Drag the Mouse pointer to the bottom-right corner of the screen, then click on the Searchicon.
    • In the search box enter Java Control Panel
    • Click on Java icon to open the Java Control Panel.
    Windows 7, Vista
    • Click on the Start button and then click on the Control Panel option.
    • In the Control Panel Search enter Java Control Panel.
    • Click on the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel.
    Windows XP
    • Click on the Start button and then click on the Control Panel option.
    • Double click on the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel.
Mac OS X 10.7.3 and above

    • Click on Apple icon on upper left of screen.
    • Go to System Preferences
    • Click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel.

After opening the Java Control Panel:

    1. In the Java Control Panel, click on the Security tab.
    2. Select the Minimum Level.
    3. Click Apply.
    4. Click OK to save changes made to the Java Control Panel.

If you have teamviewer I should be able to fix it for you. That is if you like.
Usually that wont work if you have multiple java's installed (different types). That means finding all the Java's uninstalling and deleting then reinstalling the correct java. Then setting the security again.

You need to go into whatever antivirus program you use for internet security, copy and paste the file into that program's exceptions list so your antivirus allows it to load. Happened to me with drakensangonline.exe file. I use Norton and had to use Norton remote and have a tech find the file first as I couldn't find it myself, and then the file was placed into the exceptions list so game worked after. Your problem sounds similar.
Do NOT set your java security slider to minimum. No no no. Java is is an incredibly unsecure gateway into a computer and hackers look for java exploits to access. Oracle knows how flawed their products are but continue getting away with infesting the web with the crap they develop.

    hey multitoonz,
i have tried everything else but im not sure how to do that. ive even contacted support and got the reply to clear DSOClient file while logged off of DSO. that did nothing and when i replied with my results i have heard nothing back. i filed a second ticket in very specific details and have heard nothing back from that so i would say "support" is just blowing me off.
i want to try your suggestion but i dont know exactly what file name to enter and where to enter it. i have Mcafee antivirus and Microsoft security essentials. but the message does specifically say that its blocked by java security

Does thin client work on your computer? And are you logging directly into game or using 3rd party? Or try a complete registry cleanup. Uninstall java again, run registry cleanup through your computer, then reinstall java and see if that helped.

Hi multitoonz, I had that exact same problem as you a few months ago, I got that one fixed by talking with java as well. This is different then that previous problem but I will give it a try anyways :)

    @walkingfish
Don't fill second ticket, just reply to first one. Even if there is no answer you can remind them with reply on same ticket.

If anyone else is having problems with Java blocking or any other issue, you should start with these steps.
