Lag issues

    I played DSO quite a bit last year since i came back very recently I'm having major lag and skipping. Can't play the game anymore. Anyone having similar issues?

    I have a very nice gamimg computer, good internet speed, and know what I'm doing.
    I adjusted settings, cleared cache, erased and re-downloaded client.
    Yes I contacted support. Issue not resolved.

    Just wondering if this is common lately. Don't need a gaming lesson please refrain from that.

    Here are some of the big pieces:

    Lag has been a major issue for a few months now. Server load may be part of it, some times are worse than others.

    Part of it is individual location. The weather plays hell with microwave transmissions. Internet providers generally are not having a good time these days as well; US infrastructure sucks bigger every year, and not all providers are equal. Mergers and Federal legislation have other fingers in the pie.

    All US servers for DSO live in California. (poor Central and South America)
    ping agathon.drakensang.com and tracert agathon.drakensang.com might give curious results.

    DSO has reported Disruption of Service attacks several times. Europe lost servers, reportedly due to internet service failure. Agathon went down too.

    We live in exciting times.

    All I needed was a router reboot and the problem is fixed. Thanks for the info, though.
