    So far what I see it looks to be very exciting. Can not wait to see what skills are going to be coming forth with. Gota wait for July at any rate.

    It seems that this new content is exactly the same stuff we allready play. Small monsters that rush you in group of few (the raptors), some tanky type, and ofcourse some mage type mob. these 3 type of mobs are all over DSO and I dont see a change now that I'm at Thunder Crest.
    I'm feeling that the grind will be the same hilarious stuff that we allready have atm.

    Now think about this, this will be huge so dont keep it so simple as with every new continent release. Bring something completely new to the table, bring new players to the game that will actualy want to play something different than constant grind.

    Lor Tak will be interpreted as end-game along with PW, so why not put something new that will go along with PW 2.0.
    I was thinking for random generations, maybe a specific dungeon build by these green guardians. They use some sort of mechanisms to sort out the rocks, so this explains how they generate dungeons for some reason.
    Now ofcourse thats alot of work but this is your job.

    Do not dissapoint the players by bringing exactly the same stuff, becouse months of work will be capped for a week by the players.
    If you dont keep us inside for longer, the hype will be gone in few days after the release, few weeks layer everything will be exactly the same as now, but with new content that differs no more than what we have now.

    Designers must be creative and unique, but we can skip the second one for now. Just be creative and twist a bit the tons of systtems other mmo's allready succesfully use.

    Yeah I'm really hoping for a bit of variation here. It's an opportunity to spruce up the gameplay experience.
    Things I'm hoping for:

    - Puzzles that require teamwork and a bit of intellect to solve that randomize each map.

    - Boobytraps

    - Mobs with surprise attacks/ambush and randomize each map

    - Minions that actually pose a challenge (don't just slap on extra hp and dmg) i.e. they can use stuns, slowing effects, use physical as well as elemental attacks, use a variety of abilities, teleport etc just something to make it exciting.

    - Add 'buffs' scattered throughout the maps to mix up the experience (This could be great in addition to puzzle solving, such as you complete a team puzzle down a side path and the team's boosted with 20% extra run speed for 5mins etc etc)

    - Pink items+ from every red-ring boss (like HoD boss knights) to improve reward:effort ratio and cement some farming variation for the end-game to come

    Just examples but these things will revolutionise the game experience and increase the enjoyment tenfold. :)

    New content looks like re-hashed old content, as already stated. I'll (most likely) stay retired from playing.

    Good luck to all the addicts! (Maybe they'll improve the drop rates... mhauhauhauhauhaaaaaa!)

    That's what we get from the "creative design team" who hasn't a clue of what they're doing..nor do they care!!!
    The new content + Myrdrosch has a "nipon" touch...seriously dinosaurs!!! this is very Anime-type...and they call this an "Epic adventure", there is nothing of "Epic" in this game (at least not with this new dev team)...what's next "Alien's"!!!

    And the story-line doesn't make any sense, I'm completely lost of what is what and who is responsible for all the chaos in Duria!!!
    Anyway...PvP is the only good-thing going in this game...as for the rest, it speaks for itself "crap"!!!

    look good forests ,jungle ,dino-s can it be sunny there . would like some nice jumps maybe even a parachute or a hangglider to cross some where. Maybe a boat crossing and it gets attacked by seadragons. will wait and wait till it comes

    It is sure.... The new playable race will be warlock ... It is like the mage but using dark magic and have little sword or dagger... Cause in that drawing we can see the dark mage or what that is. I think it will be new playable race. :)

    Wow I l ike this game. Rehash or not I am excited to see what skills will come. Sorry if others think this game is boring but I do not share the same view. Hardly see what could change people's minds about the game but guildwars will be something I will love to do alot of. I am sorry if you will stay retired that is your choice and I respect you for it. I hope everyone will have fun this week and in anticipation for the new content.

    for end game...not excited at all untill they announce gold drops,chests that drop anything but coins,coins in a chest?lol n 1 key.but u can collect 100 keys to open a leg chest,haha.silly
    seems like all drops have been reduced to .000001 % ya blue ess,where did that go?
    sure new stuff is cool,but the way they think of money is funny,n over powering mobs with 200k hp n Armour is just a grind with zero rewards for all that money we spent.
    idk but how can u make crafting this expensive and not give us gold drops?????put a little pic of ur gonna be crafted item in a window to see what it will be,then we can decide if we want to spend the gold on it.no more random.
    1 more thing,Guild Wars! either void the Fame tree(turn if off) or take out the nonsence of toons blowing up and and being Immune to everything!! pointless!!

    Since I am primarily a solo player, I don't like the idea of something that requires a group. And a puzzle might work for the first week, but soon after it is released there will be a posting on the forum and no one will have to solve the puzzle anymore. They will just simply follow the instructions on the forum.

    I think you missed the key word above, highlighted in green. The OP meant that each time the map generates a new instance, the puzzle is different.

    This would not be terribly difficult to program. I've seen it done in other games.

    were they drunk when they came up with this?.... so much for the story line, its gone from witches, gremlins, skelly knights, ghosts, the norm stuff to robots and now dino's.... is there a worm hole somewhere we haven't seen, bringing all these here?... i mean come on, you couldn't make this place up if you tried, no wonder all the folk of duria are confused, they don't know what time line they are in....
    get a grip dev's and have a long hard think of the mess you are making of this game.....

    You are correct. I did misunderstand. I thought that it would simply be part of a quest. The reward would have to be substantial to waste time on a puzzle if you are simply farming the map. Otherwise it would just be avoided. Something that might be fun is if the puzzle was in a wilderness area and it was a head to head competition with another player that comes up to the station.

    I see your point about farming: having to solve a puzzle just to get through a certain area would discourage people from farming that area. There are probably ways to avoid this - the one you mentioned is a possibility - but in this 3-plus year old game that has changed "ownership" from the original, invested and dedicated crew to this current (less dedicated, IMO) crew... I don't see the level of creativity or dedication necessary to insert "new and exciting" modes of play into the game. They will likely, IMO, just make some new maps and mobs and call it a day: and I'll remain retired from active play.

    I had a perfect idea for the new expansion.

    Have the quest giver that unlocks the new zones have an unlock quest but they also have a repeatable quest that reward with champion boss spawn items. (Like the blood for full moon item.) The unlock quest needs the items from the champion bosses so people will farm the repeatable quests. You have to complete the first of the repeatable quest to gain access to the champion quest that unlocks the next zone.

    I'm gonna be completely honest: I'm not a hardcore gamer. I play DSO to relax. I'm fond of it's simplicity. I know that there is a re-occurring theme to the game. You have a melee mob with missile attack back up. And most likely that isn't gonna change with the update. But I don't care about that so much. And people have to understand that the story line is linear. By the time you are level 40, you should have already defeated the Herald of the Anderworld and that threat no longer exists as far as YOUR character is concerned. Yes you can go back and fight him over and over and over... but the quests are the story line and he has been defeated.

    I like to think that these expansions are things that our heroes are doing once they have brought peace to our own homelands. Khalys has been defeated; Frostclaw has been banished; and the Herald has been driven back. And we are off to help our neighbors... the Atlantians, the dwarves, and now to explore this new land: Lor'Tac.

    Yeah, I like to build up my character. I want to build up as many strong gems as I can. But the Devs have to make these maps so that the poor guy that started the game 6 months ago and only has a few polished gems and 1 or 2 pieces of legendary equipment can complete the same level 46 map as the guy that has 5 radiant (or better) gems in each of his legendary or unique pieces of equipment.

    I know I might get ripped apart for being honest about my simple view of things. But I like this game for what it is and I appreciate any expansion to the game. If it is an entirely new continent or just a new event map; it is equally appreciated. I'm a long time Dungeons and Dragons player. And even in that game, which is over 40 yrs old, they had a lost continent of dinosaurs. My only wish is that they were full sized T-rex instead of little raptors. :p
