Lvl 45 Experience Bar

Just made 45....

It strikes me as inane that an XP threshold for an eventual Level 46 is not already set, and that NO XP is earned as we keep moving forward.

Yes, when level 46 does become available (if and when), many would be able to level up isntantly. So what? They will have done the work for it.

Not only that, but the current limitations means MORE eventual grinding.

Easy to change. Fair to players. And minor progress.

 

There will be a level increase to 50. It's already been announced in another thread. The other level cap increase was from 40 to 45, so I think they will likely always do them in increments of five. (As long as they can keep this game alive. I'm not really expecting it to survive long enough for a cap of 55, truthfully.)

Many players would be able to upgrade straight to level 50 immediately when available if XP kept accumulating. (Myself included.) This would be kind of silly, I think.

 

We ARE at 45...

I am NOT saying XP should go on forever, but it should at least emulate the normal process. So the bar should move until it reaches what would be Level 46 and THEN stop.

In fact, pen and paper D&D works like that, as do very many other games.

 

Yes, therefore the reason I said the other level cap increase WAS from 40 to 45. That happened over a year ago, I think. I was trying to point out that they usually raise it five levels at a time, not one. The current plan is to raise it to 50 next year, sometime (if the game survives that long).

 

I am under the impression that once we get closer to the level cap raise we shall see 2 things. First we will have an experience bar on 45's and able to upgrade our gear passed 50. Although I am not sure if both the cap raise and gear upgrade will not happen at the same time. This game is very focused on gear and not on level.

 

Based on what I've seen in releases lately, I wonder if there will still be a game when they are ready to raise the level cap to 50. That isn't supposed to happen until sometime next year. That's pretty vague timing. A lot could happen, or not happen, as the case may be.
