im using mac ,i can not enter the game , client is loading verry slowly. 8 MB /Hour

On MacBook Pro, it's only managed to load 7.5MB over the last 6 hours.

EDIT: I'm still running Mojave, OS release 10.14.6 as I was under the impression the latest OS update doesn't support the game. Maybe it's the other way around, and I must upgrade the OS?

EDIT2: Speed has picked up to ~0.26MB per minute ... only 4.38 days to go!!!!

 

I hope not, but i think that new release is for 64bit OS and not for 32bit.
So?
Or stop to play or buy new PC. I write to big point to ask to play without Dragan event....

Have you tried downloading the game files from the Test Server?
Test Server is running the same game version.
If you don't know how to run the game on Test Server follow these instructions.
It is important to create a new shortcut first (don't do anything with the original shortcut) and rename it to "Test Server" in example. Then follow the instructions in the link above. If you are running a same shortcut the game will always download the files when switching from server to server if the game versions are different. The game version is the same ATM but you might need it in future.

Let me know if the downloading speed is same or faster.

 

Same message from the test server: Failed to launch client.

 

i use win 7 and i noticed a really annoying problem after the maintenance finished, my character " lag" every 2 or 3 secs ( same as if the ping is high) but i still use the same internet connection ( with good speed) and the ping is always below 100.

 

Used the wiki instructions to try to load from test server on my MacBook Pro ... exact same speed.

Thanks for the suggestion, it just didn't work (though now I know how to get to test server for future reference ).

 

Yesterday , I played the game well. But After R228 --->Failed to launch client.
I am using Windows XP, I have clean the path %temp%\DSOClient , failed again
I try clean again , and uninstall the game, redownload .
Same message: Failed to launch client

 

Same thing, but feels more like framedrops and not lag. My ping is 8-20

 

Will you solve the problem? Tell us what to do.

 

Sooo I sent a message to technical support.. Here is the reply.. This applies to Mac OS and winXP. Basically, they are cutting us off. I'm gonna look for another game I guess.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately we won't be able to assist you with troubleshooting this. As officially announced towards the end of last year, the Mac client will no longer be supported, nor running the game on Windows XP.

It is unlikely that you will be able to play on Mac anymore - and if you do manage to run it and encounter any problems, we won't be able to provide any kind of assistance.

teddy, if you knew this very important information before patch 228, why you dont inform a players in patch review? .. that after this patch finish game for mac and xp? it is (not only for me) dirty trick, make it before dragan event and take it on players, where and how obtains new computer or operation system.. on your links is only common information about ending support for this OS, not about ending game..

 

I think ita hard against vop but you know half playera play this game just bcs no other mmorpg work on mac or xp but if you think you have enough player to make a money without xp and mac players its your math so gl have fun EDIT

 

I am having difficulty opening Drakensang Online on my Mac. It goes onto the server selection as normal, but nothing has come up when I press play. It happened yesterday and nothing is solving the problem. What should I do?

To everyone with problem; You can try installing windows7 on a virtual machine. Pretty sure it would work.

Just google how to do it

 

I've just found this (i'm a MAC user):

This is necessary to improve the overall game performance such as reducing client crashes and helps us to ensure that our player base can enjoy Drakensang Online without any interruptions.

Unfortunately, we have to admit that we cannot assure this goal for the MacOS client as well as for the old Windows XP client. While Apple is about to release a new MacOS version, which won’t support the game client anymore, the client will still work on Windows XP systems but won’t receive technical support from our side.

Of course, affected players will be compensated with special items. We hope that they find new and maybe even better ways to stay loyal to the world of Drakensang Online.

As soon as the technical challenges have been settled another announcement with more details about this topic will follow.

I've been playing a lot ad i've spent some money for premium. Hope there will be some cashback or better fix the problem for mac as well.
