maintenance timing

I've been dying to ask this question for a long time but was too lazy to register on forum thru main page as i use thin client.

Why on earth would you do all your maintenance thingies during 10-11 am. on an EU server.

Its not peek hour i know, but still you got alot of players here at that time.

But at 03:00-04:00 AM there arent that much players on. and its a great time for maintenance issues.

every other game i play do exactly that. maintenance is always when most people are off line in the middle of the night.

I cant really believe its just because no one at the office at that time to do it. only from what i pay you in a month is enough to hire some1 for a night shift.

 

The hotfix and updates aren't timed according to player activity on servers I believe.
And they do these on all servers together.
DSO is based at Germany and they always do that around early work hours i.e, 9 AM CET.

It is because their working day starts something like 8:30 - 9:00
First they are drinking coffee while making preparations for the update

 

It is done in the middle of the night. 30 minute countdown starts at 1am according to my clock
