Well allright but what you mean to houses in the game? Good Idea or not? Guildhouses for example.. Where only Guild can enter

While the idea sounds okay on paper, what about divorces?

Is there an andermant alimony?

Can you imagine the fighting over who got what and when.

What if your wife is hogging all the storage with her stuff.

What if your spouse melts your favorite piece of gear out of spite?

Would there be a visitation policy after the divorce for gems?

Would it be considered grounds for divorce if you're playing with other guilds?


While I understand the logic of a trading system, a sharing system would open up a can of worms that would likely end in many unhappy people.

 

Why are you making things hard? It's simple; chose wisely who you marry. No divorce, you're stuck with what you get and that's final. For further discussions, take your girl/boy and take them to marriage counsel
You can't take anything until partner allows, you can give them back what you take. They cannot take back what they give, you need to allow that.
The only prblm here that I see is how am I gonna wear ranger mortis mask So, items need to change to the same ones of my class.

 

Hmmm, that brings up an interesting point. Which Urban Areas allow same class marriage?

You guys are so pessimistic; I can already imagine everything! Me and my future husband walking through the Kingshil bells music blabla, and then I take mortis mask and he's happy to have me as a wife.
Can we make babies too?

 

This would be the most optimystic thing in Dso .

 

We can make it 1 wedding a day, so it could really become a little daily event xD Like, once a day we have 30mins wedding in Kingshill and then nobody can get married until tomorrow. wiiiiiii adorable!
The more I think the more I like the idea, I should stop, I'll be disappointed

 

"Marriage system" sounds soo cheesy.

I presume , the player who created this thread was playing "simcity", where there is marriage system.( I don't know how it works, but you can Google it)

Also, stealing ideas and features of other companies is illegal. ( remember copyright and patient battle going on in court between Apple and Google).

Moreover, in 2008/2009 big point was sued for stealing name of the game of another company and was forced to change that name. I wonder how much money Bigpoint paid for punitive damages. But, all I can say is there was a heavy layoff of employees from San Francisco branch office.

Not to forget, implementing marriage system for the purpose of trading might violet certain rights. Lets not go that far

But, I most admit, reading these thread is rather entertaining

 

Perhaps they are soooo pessimistic because it reminds them of their own marriage/divorce

I like the idea of "marriage" system, I have suggested something similar in 2012 for guilds, because like today...the guild has no function, its the same as your buddy list.

After 2 years DSO still hasn't made anything for guilds class.
No guild wars...no marriage...no especial events...no nothing.

The only thing that "guild" gives you, is to display 1 more name in your character's ID....WOW thats impressive!!! (yes, you can chat with others, big deal...most of guild members write to each other anyway)

but instead of marriage system we can have partner ship ,many ways to avoid of being sued .
Idea is good different fresh but we all know that this will end up here and only here

Yup, I also suggested something similar for guilds, but well.. It was a lovely idea though

My guess is that they don't really wanna mess with those things because people are, aside from pessimistic, .. greedy and they would find a way to exploit anything there is to exploit. So I don't really blame devs for not giving them pleasure of feeding their greed (more than they do now)

 

I love the idea of a Guild House/Space!
Almost like a bunkhouse design would be cool.
