My Noob Grind Rant

Well I had to take a break and waste a bit of time ranting my frustrations on the forum.

Enjoyed the game till I hit the desert areas with the litches /scorpions that have an amazing stun especially when they gang up and its one after another till they stun you to death. #EDIT. I got through it and was glad to move on, things got better. Continued my way to big ol' lvl 50.. lvling slowed down a bit but seemed to pick up a bit in the early 40s some nice grind quest with a good chunk of EXP as a reward. yada yada off to the bottom areas of the map ( dark purple area ) its like 45-50 zone.. I am about to give up on this dam game lol.

The sewers trying to find the quest mobs that are no where to be found
The map its self is constant poison & tight areas that cause you to get pinned by mobs
EDIT
Shaman mobs that back track like EDIT, nuke you, then raise the dead, on top of that they blend in with the other mobs!
Exp from mobs have seemed to decrease.
When you finally go to turn in quest you get CRAP for EXP..

I am dreading going to 50, just hoping I can stick it out.

There is a quest that gives you poison immunity for 30 minutes for the "sewers". Might want to grab that quest prior to wandering through the waters. You'll find it in Yaltepetl.

It's true that the progress is time consuming. There are a finite number of levels, maps and quests so the game are not meant to rush through them.

Let me tell the story of an in-game acquaintance of mine who hit lvl 50 yesterday and still have quests remaining. She just did all the recent events...

p.s. From the very start the main thing that brought me to the game was the lovely, not too dark graphics. I still enjoy this while doing whatever in the game (events, quests, dailies you name it) and this keeps me going. I understand someone's frustration who wait only to reach level cap and don't enjoy the process.

 

ughhhh 1/2 way through 48.. I have no idea how people have grinded out the last few lvls... I had a Tome on and I grinded for a solid hour in Cradle of Life ( which is an annoying place lol )I got maybe 1 / 2 bars filled... What in the world am I doing wrong.. I was in a full group too... :..(

 

You were playing for a hour and you want to progress? XD

Leveling is always best when playing solo.

 

Well I'm just going off someone that told me they grinded 49-50 in less than a day.. I guess I should assume there lying now ? But I thought lvling was best in a group for the exp buff?

 

From 49-50 is a few hours at max. Also best is to solo.

 

I got from level 45 to level 50 in few days (3-4).
Nope ... leveling is best when playing solo. You lose more XP in the group than getting from the bonus ... especially if they are higher level than you.
Playing solo + guild bonus + buffs + premium is the fastest way.

 

okie thanks for the info. guess i just got to get on it and pound out that exp. Just tell me the game really starts at lvl 50 please
