    Hello,

    I am wondering, if I pay to change a character's name, will the new name still appear in the guild/friend's list (replacing the old name), or will the character completely disappear from everyone's lists?

    I am asking because I want to change a character's name but I do not want everyone to know about it, only a select few friends that I will pick.

    That won't help much. Is this true for both the guild and the friend's list? If I leave the guild (which I already did), will the name change in their friend's list anyway?

    Is there any way at all to change the name of the character without everyone knowing about it?

    No. Your only hope is that those people who have you on your friends list have enough people on their lists that they won't remember everyone and they won't recognize your new name and will just think that they added you a while ago and then forgot and hope that they don't notice your old name is missing.
