Need help with ranger

So I started this game 3 weeks ago.

I'm playing ranger and I need your tips for pve.

-Shortbow? or longbow?
-item stats? Do i need hit ratings for pve?
-More damage or Crit?

Any tips for lvl 28 ranger?

 

Hi Chris , if you are a shopper try to buy a premium , you dont need legendarys until lvl 45 , it will be a waist of christals of thrut , withpremiumyou can unlock purple items for free
After lvl 38 try to kill gorga normal mode untill you have lvl 42 , after go in PW with friends , it will be a little hard but you can do it , you will make EXP and get the ammon set , but try to make events too , so you can buy Dark set with drakens , dark set is lvl 40 so you will need to upgrade them to lvl 45 , but is not that hard , doing PW just colect all items and melt them , you can kill some hard bosses too , like sigrismar to get the armor , or gorga for the quiver
for your questions:
- go for shortbow , you attack faster so you will be able to dodge faster , the animation for longbows is too slow so if a monster shoots you wile you shoot precision shot you wont be able to dodge untile you shoot that arrow , and plaing with longbow like a sayd the animation is pretty slow
-for items ... i dont know what to say , getting good gear will take a lot of time , so forthe beggining just play with what you have , try to identify legendarys at lvl 45
-damage ... well , the bigger the better , and foryour crit , try to get aroun 45% crittical hitrate plaing with shield

 

Cemal is right I could also say that if you really want to lvl up fast leave quest and focus on bosses with teams at the same lvl with you and save all your aders for gems any other use of them is a waste ...
And also vital is to do daily quests for knowledge all the others will eventually come

CemalRavage, I got premium account last week.
I've been looking for a great game and I finally found this!
I was really frustrated with moving to other locations + identifying items so I got my premium and I'm pretty happy with it.

I'm also planning to get andermant since I have many orange-colored items that need to be identified. I didn't know premium doesn't identify orange items.

I didn't know about daily quest and crafting 4 items into 1 so I recently started doing those. (I've been just selling green and blue items T.T)

I play in US West server(I believe it's Tegan?), what server do you guys play?

Should I just ignore hit ratings? This isn't my 1st mmorpg and I don't think hit rating's important for pve but I'm not sure about this game.

And Greenkhell, so should I just ignore quests and just farm bosses now?
I just thought doing quest is the fastest way to lvl to 45.

Doing quest is the fastest way to lv45 unless you always have a group to farm gorga just keep doing gorga until you hit 45. The benefits for this method is that you may be able to obtain yachaks while leveling. Don't ID any legendaries until 45. If you create another toon you will get the mentor bonus to speed up your knowledge tree.

 

well according to my expirience of that game during the dwarf period were we all rushed to level up dwarfs we all did the exact same thing quests till lvl 20 then teamed up for kalys till lvl 27 then herold then sigrimar frost and finaly gorga the most important of it was to find same lvl teams to gain full xp of each boss until lvl 40. later you can go and do these missions and get all that xp because after that lvl the xp farm from bosses is getting harder.
As it goes with hitrate at this game it realy doubles up your hit and since you own an archer you must make every hit to count
I currently play at grimmag server because it is the reccomended one for me If you ever get there let me know if you need anything

 

I play at Tegan server and it feels like the server's empty. I chose this server because it's US West(I'm from CA) but I wonder if you can pay to transfer to another server.
1v1 duel takes forever T.T

Does that mean that it will be possible at the near future?

If you have premium as you said try creating an other char in a deffrent server with the same account you will not miss the priviledges and you will get even at no time
