Does this method works without the set?

I'm comparing them based on the level they are unlocked at (level 2 and level 45, I guess).

That's just too much work for marking, and I don't think using blade dance is any efficient, as it is a big concentration consumer. I would use net with marking skill, easier and faster.

EDIT: oh it's you the one and only Wigger :D, this strategy works fine for you because as far as I know, you play with a huge amount of concentration. Also you have a set bonus for blade dance, that fire storm thing, so you actually get something more than just marking with that skill, I don't have that set. I would just say, if I'm gonna use net anyway as you suggested, why not use it directly for marking?

    Sure it does

It's a marking and support skill. In pve i use 131 conc only (+25% wisdom, 5conc stone) and yet blade dance is very efficient. Don't underestimate the power of having all attacks ready again after one blade dance through mobs.
Blade dance will mark a corridor (where also your thicket is lying) and thus lets you shoot your PS through that whole corridor. It's a good addition/extension to the marked area by net.

Do not rely too much on net for marking, since its area of effect is rather small compared to trap or blade dance and slowly performed.

btw: I don't use grimmag set for pve, the fire storm dmg is basically irrelevant in fatal PWs. My main damage comes from thicket explosions and precision shots.

Thanks, i don't really like blade dance, but if it can help clearing stuff faster, i'll check it :)

I'm actually working to get the set, even if the event is pretty hell boring, cause I think that keeping almost the same crit hit and damage as I am now and having the buff could be good...

But still, for endgame ranger I'm pretty sure is not that needed, even in PvE: also Wigger tactic is pretty awesome, but for endless hours of farm i prefer the old, brainless, smash to smithereens tactic. I will probably get the buff when the mobs are already gone...

I go in solo, full speed boots (will be dramatic to go down to 12% speed honestly), blue ess usually (green when i feel poor), trash the place spamming EA (playing with 185 conc to use 3 and have enough to shoot a PS), net+thicket of thorn (12 sec cooldown for both, so the nice combo is, also considering that 90% of the time the miniboss will jump in your face, using net on myself to stun all the mobs around so they cant deal damge, one Ea and they are bombing each other).

Here's the show-off :D (sorry for low quality, but lag is haunting me... PS: with blue ess there is no need to use Adrenaline to kill the miniboss, unless is the white shielded one, so the time required is even lower)

That's exactly my playing style :D, except I use deadly blow more often
