Until DSO includes in-built keymapping, a lot of users use the program AutoHotkey
    for this purpose.

However, updating the client installer seems to stop AutoHotkey from working in game.

So if you use AutoHotkey beware. I had to perform a system restore to get the old client back.

I would ask BP to investigate/fix this. But I doubt they would devote any development time to sort compatibility with third-party software.

But I would like to ask if/when the game will feature keyboard/mouse remapping?

Remapping of keys has been a popular idea, but we don't have any information about whether or not it will be implemented. However, we'll be sure to recommend this idea again.

But can anyone comment why the new client download prevents autohotkey from working?

My best guess is maybe an anti-bot measure... make it a bit harder for the programer to help people to cheat. And if that is the case, they should work on in game key mapping and keep the anti-bot measure in place. Otherwise, it would be nice of them to fix it.

Using the browser version everything worked as expected yesterday evening. As the DSO executable downloaded by the browser version is AFAIK identical to the one downloaded by the client version I doubt that this is caused by DSO.

But AutoHotKey sometimes stop working in DSO after my DSO client had crashed (unless I reboot or log-off and log-on). I found out that the problem is not DSO but my Logitech mouse driver helper program. Killed SetPoint.exe and everything worked again.
