New Costumes Idea

I do not know whether this has been thought of before or not, so I apologize to anyone who may have brought this up in the past. OK, so you know those unique items that are sold in towns by equipment merchants, right? Yeah, of course you do. I noticed that they're mostly less useful as they are expensive, but they do look cool. Consequently, I believe that not many people purchase them just because of that, as they'd most likely find ones more worthy of use by other means. Here's the catch: what if there were purchasable costumes that had the same aspect? Now, weapons & offhand items, as well as amulets, belts, weapon adornments & rings wouldn't be affected by this, since the former can't be part of a costume, and the latter kind of equipment is not visible anyway. That means that people can still buy those if they really want to use them. However, if they'd only fancy the looks of the visible armor pieces, it'd be much better to have costumes. They could cost Andermant, but much less than the actual items (like no more than 500, depending on where they can be found; i.e. the ones found in Grimford could cost, say 100, and then go up as players progress to other towns, up to 500 - any more would be too much, I'd say). It'd just be awesome to dress up as a Kingshill Researcher, Expert, in the Conjuring Costume or the Holy Enlightenment one, and so on. Of course, I'm not suggesting the removal of anything, just the addition of such costumes. There's never too much diversity, especially when it comes to how player's heroes look in-game, right? Let's see where this idea goes and what feedback it can get; maybe it will someday become a reality.

Yeah, and it could help see less people looking the same. I mean, I've gotten bored of seeing most people of lv45 or slightly lower in the Witch Chaser outfit, or others in the same 3-4 costumes.

 

Kinda makes think of the system in 'kingsroad' (other bp game). Where you have a separate window for items that decide your looks.

 

I would like it if it was possible to take the artwork off some of the below 45 white/green/blue/pink/leg gear and put it onto my current gear like stickers just because it looks better than my Dragan set and Grimmag's Starry Robe combo. e.e;;

Either that, or a custom costume generator by placing in a bunch of different gear pieces and "crafting" 1 item that becomes a costume for some cost... well, may be too difficult to implement, but I can dream.
