i am a new play one month into the game. i purchesed one month of premium it runs out in 8 days. in a month i have a lvl 50 ranger and have hit a wall. want to grind for set item but am to high of lvl now, if i grind for them i get no frags, or ander, or wisdom,or cubes. cant do parellel world because i am way way to weak even on the easyest setting. fully out of quests, for the last week i have been trying to get mecanical set with no luck, ifact i can seem to find any of these sets that are supost to be in this game sure i got a pice of macanical set from quests got a few pieces of sea set but only after a mind numbing 80 hour in temple. as a new play new to this game, something is horably wrong with a game, when a new player is borad with the game in under a month, hit end lvl, nothing to do, no way to get stronger without just grinding areas that do nothing for my caracter, it feals like a waist of time. maby there is a trick to get sets to drop?
grind 16 hours strait in temple sector maby get 20 gem drops in 16 hours. Ugg the drop rates so low in this game that it is no fun. nothing drops spend hours of time and gain nothing. gonna play these last 8 days of premium i have left. gonna give it a good run 10+ hours a day. if i havent progressed where i can at least do easy in parellel world alone, i am just gonna go ahead a quit. it is imposable hard to find a group if u dont speak spanish. well it is a usa east server so i should expect no one in the game to speak english lol. also is it normal for ander to cap at 14 per drop was going up every couple lvls till i hit like 30 then it gust stayed the same the whole game 14 ander per drop. the cube drop rate is a joke as well.maby 20 cube drops from lvl1 to lvl 50 on regular maps. lol get no ander, wisdom, cube, or frags from mobs that own me. i though games were fun, but this ones getting borning fast, im stuck and cant progress. someone please help with some tips , because i spent $ and time on this game, i dont expect to be super strong in a month but mobs souldent be such a problem to kill, the game should be fun and fairly fast to progress through, it shouldn't take so much grinding to get set that are 10-20 lvls behind me. anyways games been causing more stress to me and is turning out not to be fun. when you spend hours of your time for nothing.......im just sooo frustrated.....pulls out hair......breaks computer.....

I'm guessing that until this point you've mostly played the solo game. You've hit the point now that if you want to get better, you'll need a group/guild. You can put yourself out there in the global chat and hope an English speaker takes pitty on you (we are usually rather quiet in game) and invites you to a guild, or you can go to the Guild section of the forums and look for someone there.

    Good luck.

well i started a guild about a week into the game been looking for english speaking people have ran in to 8 people 5 of which are in my guild. but the are lower lvl all bellow lvl 40. i cant leave my guild me and the other to collect the 5 of us up. was gonna wait for themm but.. the problem is they will probably quit before they ever even hit 50 a few have been talking saying they love the game, but are ready to quit because of the lack of english speakers on our usa east server. guess the english speaker are so quiet that with me actively asking in every zone i goit if there are any english speaking people that in a month i have only tlked to 8 people. thats it just 8 people. in a month more i would guess that 4 out of the 5 people i acttive chat will, have quit the game. we all like the game but spending hours and getting no where gets old very fast then add that with most of the time no one to talk to= people trying the game, likeing the game, then quiting because no one wants to play alone.had a few friend from other games i play with try the game they liked it but didnt realy start because when they looked in chat it was all in spanish, so they never got nto the game because when they turned on english filter the seen no one talk iin chat ever ever ever. the more i think about it the more i think maby i should just quit and go play a game thats cheaper, more fun and has amaricans i can talk to.

guilds in this game arnt set up to keep people together, infact leave guild button looks the same as the leave party button, same spot on page just a differnt tab.
no way to leave messages to other guildies, no way for guild anouncments. whole game seems like a solo game, heck even the drop rates go down if you get in a party. wanna lvl fast? if so gotta go solo so exp isn't split 5 ways. guilds just arnt set up like they are in other games, they have no claan mail, anouncments or anyway to post messages to whole clan so to spread news or to get eveyone online at same time got to wait for each and every person to be told the message. also there is no global chat it is zone by zone so new players can nerver get help or find anyone to talk to to ask questions cus they are all in parallel worlds, so a new usa player gets on the usa server plays for 1-2 hours then quits because they type in chat and no one is there. this is how long most people last in this game 1-2 hours, then quit and find a game with people they can play and chat with. of course if you speak spanish your just fine and can have fun. in mmo's it the people you hang with that makes it fun and bigboint seams to forgotten this in this game. i have had about 40+ people try this game out in the last month guildies/clan mates from other games. not one of them stayed because of the language issue.

one more thing if no one is on in your guild and your not in a party, then you have to travel to a town to chat with someone. the epic fail because of the lack of a global chat system

Yes... also without guild or good friends.. u cant get strong in game... after these updates, players like us can easily go q1/normal.
with a normal and low stat char like you. but i wonder how u get to lvl 50 without a group or guild. i think you are playing on USA server.
the dont speak spanish. U must have created char in someother server. im playing on heredur but im from india, where tegan is fastest and
i know only english. but still i play because of popularity. players in heredur also know english. its really gives pain of the language barrier. Dev's are thinking about merging servers.. so keep playing DSO. there is a long way to go :)

Well... u can use this to show guild announcements
In chat type /cmotd (message). So if in guild chat an officer or gm wrote "/cmotd Hi all", the message will now say Guild News: Hi all. To delete it write "/dmotd"
Devs are working on some EDIT guild battle system from last year... god knows when will they implement it.

Agathon has several English-speaking guilds with openings. There are at least 10 guilds with 30+ members. They vary a lot as to temperament. Some are civil, some are crazy, some are in it for the fun, some want PvP, some are all end-gamers and their alts. Members play at different times. Lots of choices.
You could probably move your entire guild into 1 of your liking. That would give you an instant list of available players to talk up a team. If it doesn't work out, move on, but keep your friends' list.

Hi darogus! I myself started this game last sept2015 playing a spellweaver... Having 900+ hours of gameplay over 5months.. It really is a good idea to hit the cap lvl as soon as possible as you get the maximum of drops there is (idk why some people hold of hitting the cap).. During my first weeks at around 45 level+, i started to look for a guild. I pm'ed different people asking them to take me.. lol :p which landed me my first guild and I never have to look for another one. Cause I have found the right one. I guess i am lucky...You'll know XD. It changed the whole solo game for me, bosses+events+hunting/farming, bonus codes, "important" information:D.. a good guild can give you all that. and I owe a lot to my guild having helped me during early stages of the game. Now having little trouble with most pw level, i try to give back what i can to other newbies i meet espcially guildies..only those deserving though as you can see why they deserved to be helped..
youll see them by their effort:
    -not afk-ing in a party
    -using revive stones
    -being honest about stuff,
    -being socially entertaining? chatting/greeting
    -during events, using summons etc
In short, if you are getting help, try to give back something to the one helping you. Im sure there are many players out there willing to help players for different reasons, you have to find them XD do know that the best help you can get at most times is self-help :p try to read forums/wiki....asking here on forum is a good step.

Now about your current dillema on hitting a wall (I can feel you) been there and i know its frustrating..especially now being a newbie at r160...cause cube drops are worst/ frag drops are worst / item drops are a joke / PVE for ranger is the worst everything is the worst lag ever..which gave me some time to type this ...

as a newbie before here are some methods that I used, though not so effective anymore at r160:

*farming temple sector(best low level map) , the drop rates are severely nerfed..(i am playing a newbie dk now at lvl40 at r160 and i know so much difference from before with regards to the drops...)
my tip: If you plan to farm this map, have atleast a few inventory space (full 2nd tab/3rd tab) to pickup all the rings and amulet+blue drops, sell them for gold. at this stage you want to get that 100gold/1k gold cloak of power, the quest will send you to these maps anyway. Save up the blue essences for events/pw farming. (I myself do not have the 1kgold cloak since i got the dragan cloak early on)... so all my gold up to now all goes to the jesters, up to 200+ gold daily during those times and all go to gamble daily, i could rack a lot of gems on it, some ander and essences...ocassional jackpots :D

*farming sigris/gorga normal, on my spellweaver i killed sigris an estimated 10000x hunting for his unique "Starry robe" over the course of 2 months doing 200-500kills a day, my solo game i only hunted that boss(boring ikr)..it gave me a couple of gems which is nice, i can remember getting 2 Rubies and a sapphire and a smaller gems from it.
my tip: uptill now it sure drop blue items which can sell for good gold...occasional gems/violets/leg unlike before.. the same thing i do after farming him is gamble gamble to the jesters like i mentioned above. though for you, you might want to save up gold first.

*farming pw, as most maps that were good to farm were severely nerfed, all leads to pw farming cause drops are decent (sure purple/ mini boss, legs for bosses, double anders)..though im sure most rangers have a hard time with this cause PVE for rangers is &%!@#!@#-HELL!. I know having played a friends 2 year old f2p account. Though a short while, I can say that my spellweaver had it easy compared to it...still doable if you plan to solo..try to find the best combo skills for killing type of mobs, essences at first(you will need them) but your best bet is to find a good party...try to join one of available groups out there, from there theres always the next group.. ^^ if none, this is where you will need a guild. you know the rest as the pw life is just a repeat task everyday. try unlocking up to stonekeep/q3 as most party would rather kill an easy heredur..tho q4 maps are also picking up..

some more tips i can give would be :
    - work on your ancient wisdom, daily quest is a must, the goal is to max it out.. (me at 5mos now have 40) as i failed to get the mentor bonus during my first month.. search forum about mentor bonus.

    - save up fragments so you can farm the moon events...skip full moon for now..its a waste. try to complete the witch chaser set, its one of the best out there and you have a chance at it every month. it will make a huge leap for your ranger.

    - try to do most events (i know recent ones needed tons of fragments) but theres still some free ones out there..hopefully. save up your drakens for when gnob comes around..read forums ahead so you could get some tips..as posted by notable members.

    - a good purple equipment is as good as an average legendary equipment, try to look at all the enchantments you get on items and compare...

    - have a good mentor, for your class..you need to befriend strong rangers and ask them for tips ^^, if none try looking at the forum subclass and see how the stronger ones are built up...from there you can see how you fare and how much work you still need to do.. this will also enlighten you on what items/enchant you will need most for your class...

and suddenly i am lazy to type now :p ill let the rest fill it up..goodluck out there :D

Heredur is especially good for new players, and the Swerdfield Pastures, together with the Crypt in the Cemetary, are an ideal way to begin. Any Heredur guilds out there? Post details in this thread!

    --MERGED--

The other challenge for newish players on Heredur is the Catacombs (lvl 15-16). It is actually in Kingshill.
