New Rune Type Suggestions

    Now we have the Runes of Materi Blessing, how about introducing some other gems to help with farming?

    Rune of Artifact Hunting - Increases the quality of stats and probability of orange lines appearing on all dropped items.

    Rune of the Artisans - Improves the results of crafting, increasing the chance of orange lines transferring to the crafted item.

    Rune of Silver Tongue - Lowers buy prices, raises sell prices and increases glyphs for melting, at merchants.

    I like the idea of having more kinds of runes in general, and the types you described are interesting. However, there might be a problem with lack of slots on equipment. There's currently at least 12 kinds of runes (of different power) + some specific gems, that easily fill up your rune slots. I have quite a hard time, for example with deciding whether to use attack speed runes or critical damage runes.

    What's interesting about your list is that the runes are non-combat based. So they don't necessarily need to be inserted in armor or weapons. (Ok, not really the Rune of Artifact Hunting).
    In order to have enough slots AND in order to have non-combat based runes inserted in equipment where the runes would actually make sense, we'd need to have such equipment that is not primarily used in battle:
    Now this is quite a big, almost game changing idea, but what about having 2 sets of equipment? Set 1 would be armor, and set 2 would be "costume", which would obviously open a whole large area for various costume parts specifically for hands and feet and head etc.
    After all, there are costumes like for example the norseman costume that you put together as you win more and more duels in pvp. You get the torso, then you get the torso + feet, then torso + feet + pauldrons and so on. So basically the idea is already there - only not elaborate enough.​
    And then it'd be easy: Each costume part would have its own rune slots and the game would just allow you to use specific non-combat based runes on specific costume parts.

    Another option is to drop that idea, and simply have a second set of rune slots. First set containing all the runes and special gems as it's right now, and the second containing the new non-combat runes.

    The last option I can think of, that is 100% doable right now without changing anything, is to simply have like 2 pairs of gloves, the same ones, only with the difference that you have Peridots in the first pair, and Rune of the Artisans in the other pair, and you keep switching them, depending on whether you are in battle or in town, trying to craft.
    In any case, it'd be a good idea to make a clear distincion between combat runes that increase health points, armor value etc., and non-combat runes that increase probability of better crafting results, lower the prices and such.

    They'll never add something like this, you can count on that
    It's a blessing they added the materi rune
    And I don't think they'll ad a rune like the one proposed

    Instead there should be more ways to drop speed attack runes and how about making some old runes( furor, onyx skull ecc) useful?
    What about the old runes that used to drop from vargulf(impact runes)?
    A runes that gives more impact would be a good addition to the game,it'll help build it up, since so much of it is required

    Blockrate runes that go into Shoulders. Would solve some issues with one shotting in pvp, and enable those block strength runes that go into the 2-handed weapon to have some effect.

    there are alot of good combat runes that could be added but the more they make.. the more issues will be created
    when some runes become overpowered, like % HP runes or raw damage runes you can expect the game to change majorly

    if they put conditions PVE only.. or reduced effect in pvp this could work but time will catch up so they better not Ruin the game ^_^

    I dont agree with new items or runes that make a very bugg- ed game more complex.
    Is alredy hard to deal with all changes i have some friends in my guild that are lv 55 and now i teach them to craft.
    I dont need more content just to fix the oane that allredy is , put some feature for guild and some pvp balance.
    Also they realy need to rework few old sets like Dragonake and Dark" they need to put some viable 1h weapons in game, we dont need more costumes , runes, pets or mounts.
    You have NO from me for now , maybe later when they rework all items from game.

    I would rather say "not in this life time" XD
    There is no "maybe" these suggestions are against the players.
    Yes it is a game changing idea ... in the worst possible way.
    I understand that the players have a lot of ideas ... but they don't think about the consequences.
    In short ... what you are suggesting is shooting in your own foot.
    In order to implement that ... the devs will have to "rebalance" all the toons and items again ... and since more slots for items will be available you would have to grind 10K times more than now XD

    I suppose you are addressing the yellow text (= option one). They would have to rebalance nothing. Combat runes that we already have, would be possible to insert only in armor exactly the way it is ATM. The suggested non-combat runes from the first post play no role in combat by definition, and in order to have slots for them, I suggested costume slots, exclusive for non-combat runes. I don't see why anyone would have to grind anything. When they introduced rune slots, it meant TWICE as many slots in ALL items. Yet I don't feel like I'm grinding any more than before. And that was a major game changer, since it severely modified combat equipment.

    They'll never implement that,it benefits the players, maybe too much, especially the andermant one, if they do such a thing, every andermant profit they get out of this game evaporates
    They can add both costumes mounts cosmetics and rework those sets, i assume, like in every studio, there is an art department and gameplay department
    But I highly doubt they'll rework darkness and dragonache, they would have by now, and they didn't, their fate would be that of Blackwarlord Regalia

    I would love to see Rune of Nebulism - if you stun a ranger, there is a chance he will get off the CTF with Nebula error)

    On topic, I would like those runes that improve chance to get golden line. Would place them in the cloak. It would follow the long forgotten Christmass Event Cloak idea, one that improved drop number by 3% :))

    Shoulders and rings, as they're the only items I have with free slots left ;)
    The materia runes are already locked to shoulders anyway.

    But reading the comments above, I agree that we are running out of slots rapidly.

    As my original suggestions are for runes to assist farming, how about allowing us to add some slots to pets perhaps?
    This might be as part of a pet upgrade. See my other recent thread on the subject of pet upgrades.

    Another option would be to give us extra 'null' rings. These would have no stat bonuses, their only purpose being
    to house runes. Don't Drakanians have 8 fingers too after all?
