My biggest conern with Witch Chaser set was armor value and now that I can see the stats for 40lvl tnx to Sev (Thanke you), I can say that it looks bad, realy bad. I am disapointed.

Yeah, armor level is not great. It would, of course, be higher at level 45, but still not great.

Heh... this set had at 2/3 Set Bonus 11,11% Crit Dmg, when first appeared at the Test Server, like the old one that gives 20% Crit Dmg at 2/3, when & where did you get those nerfed images? :) Btw that's a big nerf for that set.

The images were pulled from the test server approximately four hours ago (March 21, 9:30 AM, US Eastern Standard Time). I agree. If these are the final stats, I will probably stay with three dark armor pieces.

Also the weapon is pretty lame, except the crit chance. Just some plain damage added, no % weapon damage increase? Only cold resistance, not all resistances? No thank you, Karabossa, I'll keep my sword.

Well, am gonna give it a "shot", it has realy nice bonus. Hopefully I can play with it @ 48lvl.

It might be OK. You will definitely be doing more damage, on average.

I think I would lose a lot of armor and a significant amount of crit chance if I switched from my three pieces of dark armor. I might still try it out (if I can find the complete set).

Note that +x maximum damage is about equal to +1/2 x damage, so +20 maximum damage is about +10 damage.
An example would be base damage of 100-110, which averages at 105. When you add +20 max damage you get 100-130 which averages at 115, while adding +10 damage results in 110-120, which again averages at 115. The end result is not the same though, because 'regular' damage increase results in smaller spread of damage, meaning that hits will be more consistent (like fireballs landing from 500-600) while maximum damage boost results in greater spread (like fireballs hitting between 400 and 700)

so if i get it right 100 damage is better than 130 maximum damage etc

That depends what the lower bound is. Assuming equal likeness to hit both limits, then 70-130 = 100. Anything over 70min then 130max is better.

We cant lose anything couse there is no need to ID-it and if it's not good on 48lvl, just melt it. :)

What you mean? Like I know each piece costs 800 CoT to ID, I don't get it. :)

EDIT: Ok, now I see... Full Moon's items are already identified like the Essence Items, so New Moon will be too. :) That good, but very bad drop rate like I see.

The minus to minimum damage is gone, but notice that the + maximum damage is now +15-33 points, not +15% like it used to be. This will be a big difference. I think the older set, if you got lucky identifying them, was better.

We will be able to buy the old witch hunter set from event merchant a.k.a the Gnob.

Yup, but I wonder what the stats will be on the old set pieces if bought from Gnob? Probably not maximum stats, but random stats? That seems unlikely too. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
