Newbie player - how do I activate skills?

Okay, so in-game there are abilities and things you need to earn like Ancient Wisdom for. Well, according to my account, my character Naraklak has earned enough Ancient Wisdom to have the cloak slot, the transportation slot, and the mount slot. But those are always greyed out and won't register that I've earned enough to use them.

I'm not used to games, so I have no idea what to do here. Do I need to do something to activate the skills? I have been updating the level skills, but the others are not showing as being active on the account despite being reached.

Any help is appreciated! I'm on a Mac computer, if that makes a difference.

 

Select the skill you want (left mouse click on icon), and if you have enough wisdom to upgrade, just click on a huge button at the bottom with also huge "+" which will be lighten instead standard gray.

one more note: you can't choose any ability you want, you must start from the bottom and go further ... Experience / Fame must be picked with " left or right" option, Knowledge starts with "Teleport" and ends with the cloak ... for now!

For the middle tree you also need a certain amount of silver/gold in conjunction with the wisdom, u get this from killing monsters and selling the gear they drop. once you have all requirements then the + button will light up.

 

Level 40? How old is that pic?
@Topic like buhurr and Dzungla said, for the left one you need xp / levels 1 Level = 1 Skill Point
Middle = Daily Quest = Ancient Wisdom
Right one = PvP = Honor Points

 

Aaaaand when those big buttons at the bottom are, as I said, GREYED OUT, and won't let me click on anything?

I'm not dumb, I've been updating the left (blue) column the whole time...

 

How about you give us a screen shot then... hover your mouse over that grey button and then we will have all the information to solve your problem instead of relying on your hard to figure out OP. My bet is that you have insufficient Gold to raise the level.

Maybe is about gold,and this is gold recuired for level up your knowledge talent

 

Bu there is an difference between left (blue) column and purple one. For Experience tree you don't need anything, but for knowledge tree you need books of ancient wisdom and enough gold/silver coins.
In this screenshot there is grayed out button. Notice that it have more than necessary books but it does not have enough gold. (look at top left side).
