With this new thing which is the season pass, we can see that to obtain the coins you have to buy the most expensive pass. With the normal pass you cannot buy anything from the king.
Unless of course they change the rewards in future events which would surprise me but we can always dream

i dont care that battle pass.... so dont be worried about it
It doesn't affect my experience in the game,

what does affect is how expensive ancestral ruins are,

they do events that are only done with real money

I see no problem with the Season Pass tiers.. it's 20$ for the Gold 30$ for the Red..the other mini Season Passes have been 20$ .. so for any player that wants more coins and anders then paying is not a Game breaker.. every F2P game has monetization elements.. to many players just want everything to be free.. it's not like 20$ is a lot nor is 30$..I think the Season Pass is probably one of the best updates the game has gotten in a long time.. most games have a Season Pass and it also costs.. and most costs 35$-60$ just for a few items.. I myself will enjoy this new Season Pass a reason to grind out some content for decent rewards..

It's fine if you want to pay for the season pass(es), but the bigger issue is that it seems the devs are only concerned about adding more & more money-grabbing features vs adding new maps, mobs/bosses, bug-fixes, equipment, etc. to improve gameplay for everyone. That would probably earn them more money in the long run.

Absolutely right. DSO Has ALWAYS been P2P and P2W.
Like others tho... I am dismayed at the fact things like Errors 21, 37 and 42 Have PLAGUED this game for several years now. Instead of purely focusing on adding new broken features, you would think someone on the dev team would have enough brains to figure out that those Errors are a constant source of frustration. Frustration= bad gaming experience. And Bad Gaming Experience = less $$ spent.
It brings to mind the old axiom "Stepping over dollars to pick up dimes"
Never mind the four flat tires on the car!.. as long as we keep pouring fuel into the intake, it will keep moving without having to fix anything.

I dont mind spending a little money on a game... If I was playing regular computer or console games, I would have to buy them. So throwing some bones at a game I play regularly seems appropriate to me. But I cant, in good conscience pay money to a game company that has completely ignored the elephant in the room that is the constant and persistent errors that have literally plagued this game for years!! In my humble opinion, they have not earned it. As if that wasnt enough, add to it that the last 5 tickets I sent into support only got the automated response and never got a real response from any one in support.

The game is ok, but the dev team is EDIT at best, and support is non existent... so tell me WHY should I ( or any one) spend our hard earned money here????

I understand your frustration at not receiving a response. The worst thing is to receive a mediocre response from support when you complain that you bought an event cloak to facilitate the progress of the event bar and other drops and it doesn't work. Then you open a complaint ticket with support and receive a response like this: If you look at the right corner of the purchase, it says that we do not refund money for the purchase that you say you are not satisfied with. That's how it is. You bought it because you wanted to, no one forced you. So what? What would you do in a case like this? I bought the cloak at the Halloween event to drop the boxes to make the runes and nothing dropped. I complained that I wanted my money back and that's what I received as a response. Complain where if there is no representative for the game in my country.

Absolutely Doc. Bugs in the game like Error 37, 21, 42, 36, nebula... on and on. Have been going on for years. They are killing the game. Developers need to concentrate on fixing the bugs, glitches not adding new material to the game. The Developers didn't even bother to fix this Ancestral Season pass thing. They just rolled it out with multiple glitches/bugs.

The feeling about the "pay to win" thing I think is quite common.
The disappointment of some players for this is understandable.

Maybe they can keep the game alive thanks to these paid things.
Let me be clear, I am not defending anyone.

At the beginning I was a little bothered by this too. But now I don't pay attention to it anymore and despite everything I can enjoy the game even without spending real money.
