No half-naked females!

Hi!

I played Drakensang for a while because I loved that it was one of the few MMORPGs being fairly as considerate of the female player as the male one. Then I stopped playing for a while for reasons completely not related to the game itself.

Now, after a while I logged in and a half-naked woman with balloon EDIT (where have we seen THAT before?!!) stares at me declaring the 'New Era'. So, it seems that your 'New Era' is being just like every other EDIT MMORPG thinking of their player being a teenage (hetero) guy therefore selling the game with sexualized female images. EDIT

I declare that I will boycott this game until it goes back to being considerate to me as the costumer. And I call every thinking individual to do the same. (Because a very large portion of your players ARE female so there's no logical explanation to act like your game was for males only!)

Why with Drakensang? Because unlike other crap I think this game still has hope.

 

Age-old debate... The jury was in a long time ago on that one: females in baggy canvas robes are not sexy, the world at large likes sexy, therefore, sexy is good! Oh well!!!

 

Haven't you seen Khalys before? That's not a reason to say this game is like other crap browser MMOs where there is absolutely no gameplay, just half-naked females.

Zarnak is correct. Plus I know several women that like the "new era" look on the front page. Mostly older women, beings I'm older myself.

Quit complaining over trivial garbage. Concentrate on your game and toon. I'm positive it needs improvement and gear.

A GUY should complain instead??? Some women like it too therefore women shouldn't be considered?? What is it - Saudi Arabia of Women's Rights (I may bet on my life there are tons of women not wanting even the right to drive a car there)???

When it comes to surrendering then I don't surrender my point just because people say it's trivial stuff bla bla. I don't think so. Featuring women in a way no true woman would like to be (except for the minority of attention whores) only to provoke life in (stupid) males' Little Ones is nothing a civlilized society should have in a game that both sexes most certainly play and which isn't porn. But until the sheep just eat up anything they're fed with... all our society's problems will remain.

I do not play any MMORPG featuring half-naked women as sexual objects especially at the front page. Surrendering would be giving up my point here.

Of all the games that could be called sexist this is one of the least likely, I think, even with the changed look.

Given the above, I don't think you're going to find an MMO that isn't offensive to your sensibilities (unless you find one that is based in Victorian England).

A tiny minority of people being prudish and behind the times does not really necessitate a complete rewind of the game graphics. Sorry about that

Whoa! Let's put the brakes on here for a moment. Just who in the hell put you in charge of what is and is not a "true" woman? You seem to be taking a lot of liberties speaking on behalf of an entire gender. I for one did not vote you into office, and whether I like or don't like the front log in page doesn't make me or anyone else on this site a EDIT. Ya judgmental little word that starts with a "c". With all the "real" problems in the world concerning the rights of women this is where you make your stand? Not the stoning deaths of women throughout many middle eastern countries for trivial reasons like showing their face in public, the trafficking of women into sexual slavery, and just plain slavery, that runs rampant throughout the world, numerous countries where we don't have the right to vote, where women make up the largest majority of the impoverished, where women's issues in regards to health care take a back seat to those of our males counterparts, etc, etc, etc,. I think you may need a little perspective. Pixilated boobies on one page of a video game is about as far down on my list as it gets.

On a real note, I seriously don't think any woman needs to be threatened by any female npc's in this game. I doubt Khalys could ever get a date in real life if she were an actual living being. Imagine the claw gashes on your back!!!!!

The door is right over there; feel free to walk out if you're going to balk over an image of sexy Khalys dominating the screen. Unless you're pouring thousands of dollars into this game, doubt developers or most of the gaming populace would really care about your boycott or rant.

Being a hetero female player myself who usually bares nothing but a purple hooded robe while playing DSO (my nightly ritual before heading to bed), I have no problems staring at a fellow witch bearing assets. If you think Khalys is bad, please don't look up Mistress 9... you won't like my anime heroine either.

Reverse psychology was unintentional, but I was awaiting for OP writer to blast me for liking Khalys' bosoms (or appreciating my own pair for that matter).

Finally someone who understands the power of Mistress 9! Yes, she is one extreme vixen with a fine body I wouldn't mind dying for (I personally lack her height). And yes, if you ever watched the anime, she's like one of the only villains in the series who really messes people's minds. Too many guys I know crave for Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn instead.
