OK, I click the DS icon on my desktop and I get a little black screen, why?

    I've downloaded the DRO ThinClient and everytime I click the icon on my desktop I get a screen with DRO ThinClient on top but the rest of the screen is black. I can't click anything and when I reload the screen nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug with my download? I apologize in advance if this is an old topic but I'd like answers soon. I'm trying to play this game with my little sister. So I'd like to get a solution as soon as possible.

    Open task manager and close any DSO processes or restart your computer.

    Well....now its giving me an error message saying Download error: url=http://www.drakensang.com/ cdndata/_root.txt, code=4,msg=Socket operation timed out......I haven't the slightest idea what that means. Does anyone here know?...
