Point of Test Server

It is valuable, but unfortunately too many errors as reported still make their way to the live server.

 

I should have been more specific. The value of player input on the test server, to developers, is low. They use their own testers, and those don't do a very thorough job of testing anything. Hence, bug infestations abound in Dracania.

The value of the test server, to me, is to preview upcoming events (just the event windows) and other changes. I gave up playing on it ages ago, even though I have one of those pvp_xxxxx characters at level 40.

 

I understood what you were saying. But it was a case of neither of us being very concise . I have a low level character, which I could not be bothered to level before and definitely will not do so now.

 

You did however put your own spin on what I said, I never said that only "game crashing errors" I said major ones.

We're hoping that things such as test server communication will be one of the things to improve this year. But for now, we report what is found either from the players, or by ourselves, and hope it gets fixed in time.

 

Point conceded, but the overall idea of the test server being extremely under-utilized, I believe, is still valid. Whether that will improve in the future is entirely in the hands of the devs, we can do nothing more on our end.

 

We're trying on our end also, to try and come up with a situation where it benefits everyone.
