Most expensive game I've ever played in 16 years of MMO's. 58 days. Level 41. All legendary gear level 37 to 41. $220+ spent. For this much money I could play 15 months of WOW. Quitting now because at level 41, the areas for solo progressive play have narrowed and in those areas the drop rates are too low for the grind time required. Not a bad game overall but certainly not a "Masterpiece".

To the developers: Look, I paid money of my own free will. But you are just too greedy. The game play you offer for the cash involved is simply not worth it. Not only did I not recruit any friends but advised them not to play. I could go into detail about what is wrong with your game but as I seriously doubt you would make changes based on my input, I won't bother.

To those players that might read this thread and care to respond, don't bother either. I won't be coming back to read what you have written, good or bad. To those that say you can play this game for free, it is I and others like me that have subsidized your game play. I guess I have higher expectations because had I not paid money to improve my gaming experience, the "free" level of play would have seen me leave after 3 or 4 days.

In a way, Drakensang was fun. However it was also expensive, tedious, repetitive, mindless and _______________ (type in you own negative adjectives). I am always hoping to find a game that engages my mind as much as my "twitch" skills. Grouping up with people I don't know, running around chaotically, killing NPC's as fast as you can, is not fulfilling. To have to pay a lot of money for such a limited gaming experience is reason to go elsewhere.

You'll be be back to read this, in fact, you'll be back often to check for responses to your farewell post. Of that, there's no doubt. And that's not a knock on you, it's merely human nature.
In said post, you stated that you'd spent 'lots and lots of money' on this 'expensive, tedious, repetitive and mindless game'. I'd be curious to know why anyone would spent 'lots and lots of money' on such a sordid (per your post) game.

True, DSO has more than it's fair share of warts and can be very frustrating at times but I've been a gamer since the days when Pacman ruled the lands and few, if any, of those thousands of games captured my interest and my attention such as DSO has over the past year. Expensive (I spend around 20 US dollars a month),tedious, repetitive and mindless it is not.

Finally growing bored with your favorite game and leaving in search of something new is, I believe, a healthy habit. Otherwise you stagnate (like me) :) Good luck!
