    I play a mage..and my reply was not silly at all...your request for the unique to be ring or belt because you play with q8 is the silly thing.Not everyone uses q8 you know...and as i said, if you dont want to use it because you are too addicted of the q8 spam then dont use this uniques and keep playing with q8.Not everything that gets released in game should focus on q8 set ...

    Anyways..looking forward for this event..its a good one to farm drakens xD...lets hope we wont get dissapointed by it..

    Its not that OP bro..for instance the magotina ornament with kara white cloak will be better for pvp..or the sigris one with sigris armor...for pve this one should be good as long as u dont die at the boss xD...or if it doesnt take u longer than 1 minute to kill it lol.

    Traki is right, adornment is a game changer. It sucks to be dwarf right now.

    Isnt that like 20% crit dmg and 10 % crit rate when stacked 100 times? Hows that OP in PvP or when u do boss runs for instance? I might be wrong here but i cant see why this is so OP.If you do boss runs with a party it will take a lot of runs to get the max bonus...if you are 4-5 in a group theres a high chance that the others will kill the npcs that the boss will summon so will take a while to get 100 kill..most likely by the time u do those 100 kills you would get tired of that boss already lol xD

    The way i see it this ornament is only good if u do solo runs or with a small group to make sure u keep the buff maxed and that others wont kill the npcs/bosses instead of u.For pvp is pretty much useless because u will need 100 kills to max it..by the time u get to 30-40 kills the match will already be over.

    In terms of pve for solo farming the warriors will most likely have the
    advantage here...they rarely die on bosses so extra 20% crit dmg will make them kill bosses even faster.

    I dont think trakilaki said that in terms of pvp. This adornment is good for pve but not that good. 10% critical chance is like nothing, same for that 20% crit dmg buff. There are those runes too that boost the effect of that buff. However, because those runes can only be used in adornments this is a problem because in adornments we want to use attack speed runes. We cannot tell much about how well this item works but what i know is that end game players have already high enough damage and crit and this item wont really make the difference in pve since they pretety much farm anything incredibly fast

    For some reason, I thought the bonus is multiplicative, not additive. Runes might be of some use, depending on what their higher tiers give.

    Lets look at the initial Rune of devastation before it got changed:

    later on they have changed it to

    so ... in the first place it was increased % crit damage ... now it adds 8% critical damage

    Lets look at the new adornment

    Increased critical damage up to 20% and increased crit hit up to 10%
    that is 20% of your total it is not addition ... if you have lets say 300% crit damage with full buff you get 360% in total.
    This is a clearly OP item ... that suits to all tanks and 2H builds both in arena and PvE.
    The same word "increased" used both for crit damage and crit hit explains it all ... I will have to test it though.

    Yes, maybe in pve its good but how an item that give so little per kill can be considered good in arena? in arena even if you kill like 10 without dying the buff is like nothing. in pve its a different story ok. i dont think this item will ever replace other adornments in PVP

    Take a look at 6v6 and 5v5 .. people are making 60-70-80 + kills per match
    Tank with life keeper + this adornment will never die and will kill everything by looking at it :D

    Agreed. It may just be that BP is bad at describing their own items.

    If tests reveal that it is "20% Increased Crit Damage" vs "+20% Crit Damage," then yes, it will be game changing. Otherwise, it will be simply "Interesting."

    Since you are having trouble with Lightshot:

    That rune is very interesting. This is the first time we've seen an item specific rune. It seems to imply that it may just be % Increased Crit Damage after all. I'm curious how it interacts with the effect

    Well, there are 2 ways to explains this, both unconfirmed of course.
    1: since the rune gives 2% additional crit dmg and 0.5% additional crit hit rate, i assume its like this : 2x100 =200% up crit dmg and crit hit rate :0.5x100=50% up. well that escalated quickly and ridiculusly and
    2: its still on testing period and hopelly wont be like that or else........ i hope for the 2nd

    I'm betting this is a bug. This effect is new and I doubt they've got the formulas nailed down.
    Or to quote trakilaki at trakilaki:
    I'd wait to see another one or two test server iterations before I really start getting nervous.

    Ah i see...I thought it will be just +20% extra..for example if we had 300% without it and got 100 stacks on it then it would be 320%..if its as you guys described then its OP as hell. I doubt however that it will stay the same and wont suffer any changes by the time the event starts.

    Yep, Your absolutely right... it is test server, but....
    In the 6+ years we have both been playing, WE have both been witness to some "Dev insanity", very much akin to this type of thing. Such as "Class Balancing" ... Need I say more .. LMAO :):):D:D

    The funniest thing is ... they are talking about class balancing but still releasing "features" that are the very root of the imbalance.

    Speaking of class balance...are there any skill changes or any other modifications in the patch 207 aimed to improve the balance or the DTU event is the only thing new?

    I didn't notice anything ... but let me finish the boring 4th challenge at live server first. After i am done ... i can check if anything is changed at TS.
