Release 121

Release 121 is at TS.
What I have noticed so far:
1. Enhanced graphics.
2. New Options Menu - it was in German but I could see: new design with several tabs and new options for text display.
3. Arena Leaderboard finally works as intended

 

Seems pretty nice. You can now finally set the hotkeys from the settings menu - and you can select the better graphics option. But my crappy computer doesn't play these graphics smoothly

Have also found Neb3 errors when entering Cata normal. Reproduced twice with 1 toon and again on second toon. Tested grotto normal on 3rd toon and it worked fine. So it seems it is localized in Cata normal..... But then I didnt check any other dungeons.
I would attach a pic of error, but they only accept pics from hosted sites. But this is what it read.

GetEntityByAttr failed, no entity found (attr:Name=general_travel_point)!

 

The only thing that i like about the new stuff is "disable or hide" your characters name and the configuring all keys to your liking.

Better graphics or more shadows is indifferent to me.

Also adding more ppl in Kingshill isn't improving the game, it's not like we can interact with them!!! sweeping the floor, fixing the walls, hiding behind trees and my personal favorite "4 girls, 1 questionable guy and 1 sinister man" (couldn't stop laughing when i saw it )

Maybe now i can actually buy something with coins!!! (spoiler alert)

I just hope that the next release (122) will be more about the actual game itself!!!

 

Haha, good one! Make sure your character doesn't "buy" something with those coins that the local alchemist can't cure... if you catch my meaning

[The breasts on the NPC women are outrageous. I'm not complaining, per se, but I'm more of a fan of realism in gaming. It would be nice to have some more typical human physiques to contrast with the "Barbie Dolls". But sex sells, I guess...]

BP is really something, there i was on the TS when i noticed the group that Bearer-of-Death is mentioning on his post and i have to say that i'm a bit impressed, not because of the group itself (everyone is entitled to some pleasure of course) but how the girls look like. I mean comparing them to the "Puppet" female character that i play i have to say that i'm jealous.

 

AHA, I was mistaken! After going on the TS myself I noticed that there is a female NPC in that same group (visible in the lower-left of Bearer's pic) with a more "average" body type. She's easy to mistake for a male, of course, since she's dressed in leather pants and an open-front vest (minus the massive protrusions), and has a short hairstyle, but she is certainly female-looking. She is either the shady guy's "muscle", or she caters to a certain "clientele" Riding around Kingshill I think I spotted a female knight, training with a two-handed sword, who was also not overtly endowed.

p.s. On a more serious note, I like the way the newest graphics option reduces (for me, anyway) the "shine" on many objects. Kudos on that, DSO.

 

PPfft! I'm missing all these new peeps - can't get on at the mo'. I do hope DSO aren't going down the line that all the other games take of making the female chars impossibly top heavy and unable to afford a decent set of woolly underwear for the cold nights in the wilderness. The best part of the chars on here is that they dress male and female alike, though there are certain differences to shape. )

Thanks for the heads-up(forgot all about virtual virus), so i took your advise and spoke with the only alchemist in town, "Master Wilmer"...but he said "I heal ppl, not cure them, go find your cure somewhere else, you pervert"...

...I spoke to everyone and nothing, then i heard a "psst!!! over here", it was "Maiden Rosalind", she told me to find the witch called "Ragana" in Hagastove Grotto and that she might help me with what I'm looking for...

...I entered the cursed forest called "Hagastove Grotto"...but no sign of the witch(damn, why can't i catch a break), when i was exiting the forest, a gremlin came to me and whispered "Ragana, comes only at night to do some rituals and sacrifices"(alright!!! it's my lucky day after all),...

...late into the night, I searched for the witch for hours and i finally found her...
...I walked towards her and told her about my "setback", she said "I can help you, young man!!!...but i need some very rare ingredients...here is a list of what i need to make the potion that you sooo much desire"

...the dark rageful soul from King Heredur...(easy to get)
...the dark heart of the sinful queen Khalys...(not that hard)
...the sparkling ice-cold eyes from Sigrismar...(i bring the beer)
...a rotten tooth from Gorga...(almost there)
...the blood of young virgin...(???)...

"...the blood of a young virgin..." and she tells me that, only after the "New Moon" event has ended, arrghhh!!! I hate that witch, she did that on purpose...i will kill her (no wait, I need her to make the potion first, then i kill her).

So, I have to wait for the next "New Moon" to get the blood, to see if the potion real works.... until then, Multi-Sev.

This is just to cool to let it pass by, i can even see Bearer selling the rights to a movie, of course it will have to be like one of the Walt Disney's princesses and i can imagine starting like this....

"Once upon a time in a far far away Kingdom, there was a young warrior who's life was about to change. To spend his most precious and special coins he has to embrace the "hardest" and most dangerous quest of his life...."

and then there will have a song in the middle of course and it would sound something like this...

I just can't wait to see it, it will be the highlight of the year 2014 i bet...

I just noticed that the translations for the new settings menu are very poor, for my native language, Finnish. Hopefully they will be fixed soon.

 

Don't worry English translation is not far better. But it is a test server it will be fixed.
