    Maybe because they wanted to fix another bug ... which was in player's favor. And they did fix it. :)

    I can't see anywhere in the patchnotes... DKs and SWs being included in this release.
    So why you all ranting about the other classes when all you have to to is give your opinion about the changes. If you have a suggestion then make proposition ... if not ... log out.

    r169 is all about balance of the classes! If U dont like what this tread is about namely giving feedback on that and pointing out where BP didnt fix what they set out to fix, then dont post here! ;)
    It affects us all, when all people want in groups is dwarfs! Diversity is the answer here! -Ur lil egotrip is not!

    I only quoted and answered your post only for the "bug" part ... the rest of the post was not referring to you.
    1. Only SMs and Ras are subject of "balancing" in this release ... SMs balancing was justified because it was having impact in the arena and it was OP compared to other classes.
    Ranger's "balancing" has little or no impact in PvE and doesn't make him any stronger in PvP. The only thing they changed is the fact that they made Explosive Arrow more suitable for noobs while punishing the skill-able players.
    As for the wolves/tree ... they are now even more useless than before.
    When you balance something ... you don't start with balancing the group skills and abilities ... but rather the skills and the abilities in single player mode. Rangers are the only class that has no immunity to stuns ... Sm and DK have ... SW doesn't have but they don't need it because they have Mind control and Taunts so they can easily use another monster as a bait and avoid being stunned or attacked.
    2. This thread has become a rant-thread ... again ... "why nerfing my class nerf the others" and "who is OP and who is not".

    @Theusen You want to nerf the dwarf, which affects 100% of dwarfs, including those that are levelling up, including those that are too weak to get groups themselves, including dwarfs that play exclusively amongst friends, including dwarfs that solo, including characters that were once rangers themselves and switched class, just so rangers find it easier getting a group?

    You could have asked for improvements on groups, and the gameplay itself, though BP would ignore your suggestions. You and BP have the same lack of imagination if your solution to this problem are nerfs.

    Nerfing classes doesnt make anything easier for yourself, buffs do that. You could have asked for buffs that made you stronger than the dwarf, and i wouldnt care since it wouldnt have affected my gameplay at all.

    is the usual here in dso if another toon is stronger then theirs NERF NERF NERF, so after you all get dwarfs nerfed soo bad they are useless like they were before r 155 who is next? mages? they have yet to get some nerfing maybe its their turn

    here ill give the devs an idea on some sw nerf

    remove/change the 10 mana regen telent on ice sphere

    do you know how much you can spam ice sphere on a group of mobs?

    with roshan set mana crystal wisom skill machanical set and the 10 mana regain talent on my noob sw i can spam that non stop untill allmost all mobs are dead....infact many sw's out dmg me on my dwarf, his dmg is 7.8k speed 1.40 and i use blue almost all the time

    it dont matter if its a dk ranger dwarf or sw a noob is still noob no matter the class..stop moaning because you play with one strong player and assume all can peform at their level.

    As I wrote in another post, to balance all the classes you have to give a skill like machine gun turrets of the dwarves. In this way no class will be weakened and the ranger regains importance.
    Singularity should last 10 seconds and damage enemies 20 times.
    Thicket of thorns should last 10 seconds and damage enemies 20 times.
    Dragon Fury should last 10 seconds and damage enemies 20 times.
    Machine gun turret should last 10 seconds and damage enemies 20 times.
    Currently the dwarf who has a similar skill is too benefited.

    I don't know what everyone is talking about when they say that the SM was nerfed... A nerf is when they are made significantly weaker and made unplayable because of it. This has happened again and again to DKs. Balancing is when something OP is changed to the point where it is no longer OP and is fair across the classes. What happened to the SM was truly balancing. There is no question that the healing ability when combined with the steam regen was OP in PvP. A DPS class was able to out heal a DK (tank class), which is a sure sign of an imbalance. Also, if you remember my post here, the increase to the essence use for the turrets still leave them as more efficient at DPS output than any other classes' skills. That means that it was balanced, not nerfed.

    In my opinion, turrets still need a little BALANCING (not nerfing), but then I predict then we'd have a whole lot of Henny Pennys telling us that the sky is falling.

    I play a dwarf about 50% of the time. The class needed pvp and essence balancing. The old tactical turret + steam heal combo was way too unexpectedly synergistic and needed to be balanced. (Well, not unexpectedly to me, I saw it right away)

    Even after the balancing, dwarves are still pretty powerful - I tested out pvp with both my dk and dwarf and found the dwarf class still easy to play.

    PVP is still way too stun and 1-shot focused. Old Level 45 and level 40 pvp games were better balanced.

    I disagree with this. Turrets need a nerf. They are too powerful.
    It is possible for a dwarf to have 2 turrets and 2 machine guns at the same time. Some even have a tesla turret running the whole time. These dwarves are invincible in PvP.
    I play all four classes, so I do understand the relative weaknesses and strengths of all classes.
    I do see that in PvP, even a weak dwarf can do massive damage.

    When I play my DK, i have no fear of facing any other class, SM, Ranger or other DKs. But, when I see a Dwarf, I am extremely careful and scared because I know that if I do not act fast, my death is for sure.

    For whoever above says Dwarves are now useless has no basis. In my opinion as when I play my Dwarf, I see almost no difference to my previous power. Heal is actually better now than before, if you use it continuously instead of waiting till the last minute.

    Perhaps cutting the damage in to 66% of what it is now, but begin factoring in crit and crit damage... that would also truly be balancing and not nerfing because then SMs would no longer get away with ignoring half of the DPS stats.

    i can agree the ess cost increase is reasonable(we are still expected to kill the boss for the group...)

    and the pvp nerf was needed for 1v1,5v5 not so much because you are fighting a team match

    66% dmg of what turrets do now is also reasonable but only if they give turrets critical

    we are forced to not have critical becaue turrets cant crit, if they did with their dmg now would be too op

    @ novadude pvp is like you say 1 shoting and dwarfs are not doing the 1 shoting ranger/sw are

    Did they just buff the damage of the fire elementals (Painful PWs)? 'cuz before 169 I could take on all their farts without dying (without using MWS) with a 45% res, now you die even if you have a bigger resistance if you don't use MWS.

    Sorry but what you are suggesting is ... silly ... at best.
    There is no "bug" ... tesla turrets are working as intended. All classes' skills are working the same way.
    To understand that you have to have at least basic understanding in Computational Logic and the Set Theory.

    @_Baragain_ I had been wanting the classes to be balanced for a while, asking the ranger to buffed. They did nothing, while more and more players switched to dwarf from ranger. This release shows the direction they are going in. Balancing measures from BP is offering nerfs instead of buffs, ignoring how difficult the game is to play. I think that in a few months time, they will do nerf after nerf so that the dwarf has no PVE advantage, so i have pretty much quit before that happens. Given the way that players on the forum have responded, BP has the support they need to do this.

    The henny penny's as you call them are needed if there is any hope for BP to change direction.

    I am of the opinion that blue essence is needed to play the game, especially considering future releases. Other classes use green because they are forced to. In region chat, instead of 2 slots for dwarfs, it will be 2 slots for 6k damagers, forcing players to use and buy blue ess, pumping ander to improve the characters. The essence cost to play the game is not sustainable, only the OP players were able to do this because they can one hit kill everything, and meet the damage requirements with green. I will be forced to play with green essence, which means a massive nerf, losing lots of damage, and more deaths since monsters stay alive for longer, and longer overall runs. I don't want to play like this, and don't think other players should be doing it either.

    It is quite a clever money making system. If 10 people quit because playing the game is too demanding for every 1 person deciding to pump 200 euros of ander, BP will be very happy. Would have preferred it if they increased revenue by offering more to premium players but oh well.

    I remember when the only class people asked for was DKs as tanks... the other "class" was just called "DPS" cause the 3 other classes all had strengths and weaknesses...
    Now... People are just asking for Dwarfs!

    -The argument that Mages and Rangers and DKs should be boosted and Dwarfs should keep their current damage will just make the game too easy! Fatal are supposed to be hard, so even the good players have challenges!
    -So the only answer is to balance out the 3 classes! -By boosting Rangers and nerfing Dwarfs!

    ...And leaving the game even before this happends reminds me of the crybabies that emerged when DKs were nerfed... That nerf (I know there were more than 1 nerf) actually balanced out a lot in this game and made it much more fun to play overall!

    So we need to stop crying and get on w this! Its the only way this game can survive! An unbalanced game is a dead game!
