I would like to preface this by saying, I shouldn't be forced to make this post. This is a game I play and it is supposed to be more fun. That fun should be enhanced by the fact that I've always had a premium account and I have spent my fair share of cash on ander and other items (Not the scummy event attire because that is just a scummy cash grab by a scummy organization with scummy business practices) but instead I am here and I am angry. A recreational activity shouldn't make me angry. A Pay to Win model that I actively pay for shouldn't make me angry, and yet, here I am. Utterly livid that the game I really came to know and love has been co-opted by scummy bean counters who know nothing of game play, and try to monetize every single transaction in the game for a player that wants to improve. Well....what can I say that I have been meaning to say for months? Scummy. That about sums it up but first, I would like to give a special shout out to the mods on this board. Good grief I don't envy you guys and the verbiage they make you use when announcing the latest iteration of giving players the Real Big Screw! So scummy.

But back to the scummy release. I have held off commenting on the past few releases because as I read the notes and the comments, all I could think of was, scummy. Seriously what utter scum BP is as an organization. We all know they don't respect the players and that's ok, most business don't respect their customers but the actions being taken are so very scummy. Keep in mind, I am a capitalist, and I want good businesses to make money, lots of it, when it is deserved. When they put forth a product that i useful or desirable to a group of people willing to pay for it.

I really like this one "
    Dungeon: Creepy Castle
    • The immunity to normal damage has been added to all enemies in the Creepy Castle, thus Light Essences are needed to defeat them"
So you give the bosses an impossible amount of health requiring us to spend vast amounts of resources which you drop in insulting, minuscule amounts, and now you force us to waste those resources running the normal event maps?! Weren't we wasting enough for you on the bosses? Pretty scummy.

You utterly nerf the drops from cubes, thus disrespecting even the premium players that keep this game alive, hoping to squeeze extra dollars from us because you are scummy.

You create absurd unobtainable mini challenges with garbage rewards designed to generate cash flow via micro transactions, without realizing nobody wants that garbage but you can't see through the problem you have created because you are blinded by the scum over your eyes from being such a scummy organization.

You never fix actual bugs, but you spend countless resources hunting down aspects of the game that could benefit the players, and aren;t actual bugs but you don't like how they interfere with your progress blockade so you make sure to "fix" those to ensure your scummy practices are not impeded. You are so hopped up on nerfing one class or feature after another, whether it is due to crying players or because it fits into your super scummy "Nerf them all and let the dollars flow" business model" and you are so busy finding ways to enhance the grind, reduce the rewards and set all the players back, that you forgot you run a gaming platform that is supposed to be fun, even for the F2P players (Many of whom would evolve into P2W or at least spending some here and there if you didn't drive them away with your inhuman and dare I say it, scummy practices).

All of the individual back stabs you have engaged in have been well documented by the more prolific people on this forum, and of course refuted by a few shills and completely ignorant idiots, so I won't outline them here because the crux of my message is, BP is scummy.

I know one player doesn't make a difference to your scummy revenue model, and you already have the last money you will ever get from me but I'm willing to walk away, and abandon the remaining 7 months of premium left on my account. To me, that is an acceptable loss to save the self respect I lose by playing this game, and bending over for scummy BP day after day, but think of your F2P players, who account for the vast majority of your player base. You lose so much innate value whenever a F2P player walks away and they are doing it in droves.

Its a real shame because I generally like to solo, and I have all but 1 piece of my gear at T8, most of it crafted with gold and / or plat lines, and lvl 60, improved royals across the board for my offensive gems and a fair amount of my defensive gems, and maxed out wisdom where it counts, and I am still this weak?. So now, even with both damage buffs and blue essence I need to worry about Inf 2? Pretty scummy. Actually very scummy.

Lastly, I realize this post was just a venting exercise for me and me alone, since, whatever does get shared with the big bosses probably never makes its way to dev, or the show gets stopped by the scummy bean counters, but thats ok. Hopefully some folks here will read this and agree with the scummy nature and scummy business practices of the ultra scummy BP org. I am sure some idiot shill will follow this with "Oh but the mobs need to be harder in groups blah blah nonsense" because there is one born every minute.

And before you remove this post saying it isn't relevant to release 224, keep in mind that while much of what I say is cumulative going back a few releases (Remember when you almost did the right thing and improved drop rates of items with good lines, and made farming fun on Inf difficulties for the vast majority of players, and the vast majority of players thanked you, saying good job BP? And instead of building on this good will you guys doubled down on scummy?) but this release really is the straw that breaks this cash camel's back. I loved the ghost festival even though I don't use the gear. It was just fun, and I could do the progress, collect the rewards, get some draken cores and go about my business but you have decided to scum up the event and just shaft us all.

In short, playing DSO has become akin to being a proctologist who is condemned to practice only on patients with uncontrollably explosive diarrhea, non stop, 24 hours a day, and instead of being paid for his / her troubles, be asked to pay for the license to do so.

Change your ways BP. Change your scummy ways or watch the pay dirt turn to drek before your very eyes as the bean counters wring their hands and wonder why......

It has been a long time since events were fun. About the time I get equipment leveled up, I get nerfed again. It has been a long time since I spent any money on this grindfest of a game.

Sooo will everyone be forced to play the 64bit client only? There's not many players in this game and forcing a 64bit client on us would make you lose more players (and money!)

no, you still can run 32bit game (by default game 32bit) untill the end of time tech. support. if game crashes, lags, frezes (nebula of course) its YOUR PROBLEMS.

    Really? :)
Same freezing is happening while playing in 64bit client :)
Those Errors and freezing are not at player's end ... they are connected with the CDN or with the way of implementing things in the game.
Lets not forget ... after years and years they still haven't made a simple "reload/refresh" button in the client. Without that button, knowing how much the game is being interrupted ... the browser is still a better option.

How I'll get 64bit in IE?

Being not of English mother tongue, the use of the word "scummy" in this specific context slightly escapes my understanding.

Could you please make it concrete with some examples?

Just to avoid the o.t., has anyone noticed that they have even removed the Mortis set charge indicator in the hope that we lice could die more often by failing to keep an eye on the level of hp?

Frankly pathetic, on the verge of petty.

I played a little bit of the event. Just the first map. Maybe the new challenge will be cool, I don't know. But so far it looks like not much fun. I bet we will have to farm the first map a lot in order to get enough certain items, and that's not fun :| Even though the drop rate of gruesome parts has been increased. You still need lots of light ess.

Idk man, I had to quit another game because they simply stopped supporting the 32bit client. I know, I live in the stone age, but regardless of that, the fact is they moved to 64bit and that is the only version you can run now. So, I assume DSO will be the same way eventually. Surely not this year, but one day(?)

I've played several games that switched to 64bit clients too and lots of people couldn't play anymore or quit because their friends couldn't play. I'm sure going the 64bit route is easier than optimizing or fixing any bugs that could help the problem. I switched back to playing on the browser a month ago and I haven't had any problems.

Just rename the shortcut to "Internet Explorer 64bit" and there you go ... you can play on it.
You can even play on 128bit Netscape Navigator.

I played event a few hours today in fatal mode and so far I think the drop of light essences in map 2 is acceptable. Though I have to agree with you, there's no more fun in this events.. at least if you play in solo.

I m playing solo. In the Castle, this time round in the event, there are no mini-bosses to give souls, and in my case the drop rate of souls inside the Castle is so bad, I have decided, in order not to waste time and essence, to run to witch and not clear Castle.

You ask for concrete example and then turn around and give a wet one yourself. ;) In stead of being on the verge of petty, it's full petty.

When this event started first thing I've done is went to king and look for skeleton with draken quests ... by mistake (is this hint enough :D)

It's not, NO WAY that incoming mini will be comparable with big blob from sewers! (that part + mechanic of this event (less maps etc.) make it playable)).

Now, first progress bar has one GOOD reward (attire 3h) but many could try to save it "for latter" if haven't plan to stick that long ingame at that moment but TIMER isn't availability counter it is remaining time :

So, it took me exactly 68 min to make a coffee finish some quests and "clear the area" (lunch etc.).

I hope this will help someone
