Heroes of Dracania,

Release 243 will come with a polished Ghost Festival Event that contains changes based on player feedback. In addition to that you will be able to travel to the past to meet the shadow of a well-known villain!
With this version, the new mount Shade Crawler and a secret quest will be available via limited special offers!

  • The Ghost Festival Event has been polished (more detailed info below after the short listing of changes)
    • Map: Oldfield
      • The amount of Gruesome Minion Parts being dropped is now scaling better with the difficulty
      • A minimap marker has been added for the Sentinel “Morven”
      • Players will encounter more Champions when playing on higher difficulties
    • Quests
      • The amount of Gruesome Minion Parts needed to finish the quest “A Gruesome Remedy”, has been reduced
      • The reward for completing the repeatable Quest “An Errand for the Dead” has been improved
    • Attire
      • The price of the Ghost Festival Event Attire was changed
    • Auto looting
      • Saved Souls and Scary Skulls will be looted automatically
      • Auto looting was added for several event-related items for Premium and Deluxe users
    • Map: Darkwood Path -> Wendigo bossfight
      • The respawn of monsters during the summoning ritual is de-activated when you are playing solo
    • Progress Rewards
      • The rewards you get from the Main Event progress bars have been modified
      • The rewards you get from the Challenge progress bars have been modified
    • Map: Creepy Castle
      • The amount of Life Force being dropped from Gwenfara now scales better with the difficulty
      • Gwenfara now drops a fix amount of Ghost Fire, even if the Challenge: Return of the Dead is not active. The amount is scaling with the chosen difficulty
      • The amount of Ghost Fire being dropped in the Creepy Castle during the Challenge now scales better with the difficulty
      • Players will encounter more Champions when playing on higher difficulties

Bug fixes

- An issue with overlapping icons in one of the Challenge: Return of the Dead progress bars has been fixed
- An issue with Thabo’s offers for the Realmpath to the Creepy Castle has been fixed
- An issue that some event quests were not reset properly after an event has ended, has been fixed
- An issue that the Sentinel in the Cradle of Death did not drop a Key of Prowess, has been fixed

Player Suggestions

We gathered a lot of feedback regarding the Ghost Festival Event and made changes accordingly:

• Gruesome Minion Parts
  • The drop chance and/or drop amount per difficulty was modified, so that the overall loot should now scale better with the difficulty
• Quest: “A Gruesome Remedy”
  • Players stated we should reduce the grind, so you now only need 35 Gruesome Minion Parts, instead of 50 to be able to finish this repeatable quest
• Quest: “An Errand for the Dead”
  • Players wanted us to make the Darkwood Path feel more rewarding, when it comes to the yield of Saved Souls, so additionally to the existing rewards, you now get 25 Saved Souls every time you complete this repeatable quest which leads you there
• Attire
  • You suggested to make the Attire more attractive, so we reduced the price for the Ghost Festival Event Attire while not reducing the different bonuses you get from it
• Auto-looting
  • Auto looting was added for Premium and Deluxe users for the following items:
    Gruesome Minion Part, Sophia’s Remedy, Life Force, Ghost Fire
• Wendigo
  • Players reported, that defeating the Wendigo is too hard when you fight on your own, so we deactivated the respawn of monsters during the summoning ritual for solo players
• Progress bars
  • Feedback suggested to make the progress bars more rewarding for weaker and stronger players alike, which is why we added Legendary Equipment up to Tier 6 and 7 instead of Tier 0 to the main event and challenge bars during the overhaul of the rewards
• Gwenfara
  • The drop chance and/or drop amount of Life Force per difficulty was modified, so that the overall loot should now scale better with the difficulty
  • To reduce grind during the Challenge: Return of the Dead, Witchqueen Gwenfara now will always drop a scaling amount of Ghost Fire, even while the challenge is not active
• Champions
  • Players expressed their wish to fight against even more champion Monsters in Oldfield and the Creepy Castle, so we added some more on higher difficulties to these maps

Shadows of the Past

Jon Sunlair assumes that his family is somehow connected to the business of “shadow hunting”, but he lacks evidence. A hero is needed to help him, but is he really prepared for the truth?

The Shadows of the Past questline will start automatically when you enter an urban area with a level 55 character after finishing the Cursed Wish questline in Qaizah.

Sargon’s Shadow Amulet can be dropped from the Dark Force that can be encountered in the Kingshill in Former Glory or can also be obtained as reward for completing the Face of the Dark II and Face of the Dark III achievement.

The Dark Legacy Packages will be available until the Dark Legacy Update goes live (price may differ depending on your region).
