With the new changes to the game, my glass cannon DK just isn't as much fun.

So, if I am going continue to play DSO even on a limited basis, something needs to change.

Option 1. Go back and suffer through the lower level maps until I can farm the wisdom and necessary draken cores to boost my defense so I can get back to being able to farm the infernal maps solo.

Option 2. Switch to a mind numbing, aggro spamming, non killing 1H tank and then be forced to rely on others to kill for me.

Of course during those times when there are only a few people on the ghost server, I'll be stuck twiddling my thumbs or forced to go back to playing my main game which sort of defeats the purpose of wasting my time to switch to 1H in my opinion.

Option 3. Just accept the fact that I should be playing the other game more and stop holding out hope that DSO will once again become a fun game.

Ouch, I guess this release hit you hard
My 3 darkness pieces is now all t3 and soon my torso will be t4
To be honest I get your point pw is insanely hard now solo.
Build up your group talent skills and farm dragan like a madman while you can.
    Theres only 17 days left
I care more about the draken core than the augment core because I have circus paths
Dont give up just yet, the new wisdom rocks

Dude ... your Option 1 is the only way. Not just for you but for all of us.
Ever since the new wisdom system came to live servers I haven't set a foot in PW ... not because I can't play it I can play solo again almost at same pace as before ... but because PW is not the right place for farming.
Normal scaling dungeons are the place to farm. The drops are incredibly good ... you get tons of gold, better drop on wisdom than PW, very good items good for crafting and selling/melting, andermant drop is more than decent ... etc.
For a faster wisdom farm you should concentrate on good wisdom sources.
You can farm Castle Ravencaw : you need to farm the starting area only ... from the Ghastly Grave entrance to Dragan Jr. It is a short distance with many mobs and there is always a knight miniboss and there is Dragan Jr. Both of them are dropping max stack of wisdom. The good part is ... you can farm them even in painful very fast and you won't notice a difference in the wisdom drops since they are almost the same in all difficulties.
You can also Farm FBI or Loxley Cavern or Stonekeep or Rootrock Cavern or another map (I am farming another map which I won't disclose at this point). You can get everything there and progress really quick.
You can also farm Balor in Normal difficulty. He is always dropping 20 wisdom (without any bonuses) and he is one fart dead. Actually he was dropping a lot more than just a 20 wisdom before the "server maintenance" ... I was getting up to 3 stacks of 20 wisdom per kill without any bonus. But hey were "maintaining the servers" and nerfed the wisdom drops big time.

PW is not a good place to farm ATM ... for me it was not a good place to farm since the introduction of Scaling Normal Dungeons.
^ This way you can farm fast and easily even without putting significant time in the game (of course more you play more you advance).
I am level 72 ATM but just because i didn't play too much and when I was playing i was playing the event and the quests ... my friends who play more than me are level 80+.
When you increase the wisdom level you will get stronger and stronger.
