Nice troll :p but obviously i meant how much left. Repeatable quest is super unbalanced for solo players. I don't know how others but it would take me around 30 clears to finish it in natural way. In my humble opinion should be a 700-800 at most.

    I lough.
55k damage and you can't do event solo?!
You only need a right strategy. I did the most part of event in fatal helping one my ranger friend ( 20k dmg ), he was near the baby machine and me killing the mob along the map to complete the quest in 5 runs.
Then boring to collect mixtures I finished the event in inf4 solo, set q7 + Herald cloak.. very fun :)

You can form groups then, but if you refuse, that's your fault.

Well maybe we can make than an event so solo players can say "it's your fault you aren't strong enough to do it solo as groups are impossible this time" ;) Same story just different direction. Very lousy argument. I just don't play in groups since i had sth like 15k and that's all. My choice but should be equally good as yours with groupping.

"Laugh" if anything bro. I don't need strategy i need better dev :p You already said it was needed 2 guys to make repeatable quest in somewhat comfortable manner and it's true as solo it's nightmare to end it every 5-th clear. And yeah i can't do even 3-rd bar solo with 55k as i got bored almost to death - was close ;) - way faster. It also hurt me to much mentally with that brainless clicking.

No, group players should be favoured in completing the event.
Completing the events solo should be less favourable to players, this is not a single player game.

It is as much as multiplayer. It's hybrid hack'n'slash with mmorpg so i guess both modes should be equally treated. If you make one event highly favorable for group play you should do one in near future for solo players. That's how equality works.

Honestly I don't mind if solo players have tougher way - besides normal disadvantage - to complete event but this time is too much difference in my opinion. Entrace token grind should be same but it isn't due to gimmicks, repeatable quest is horrendous while in group no issue, progress jump from inf III to inf IV too high and that crap it's extremelly hard to solo on inf IV. 3 out of 4 most influential factors are from very unfavorable to extremelly unfavorable for solo players. This is not how you design stuff in hybrid games.

Have you ever played "Storm the Fortress"?
These mechanics are already present there since ever ... that is one of the reasons for PvP imbalance. :)
Also, these mechanics are present in the Dracanian Arena.

Now ... since this event is "borrowing" PvP mechanics it just puts all the PvP imbalance on display. All the PvP bugs are present in the event ... and not just this event but all events who are borrowing those stupid mechanics. Dracanian Anniversary event has them bugs too.
One of those bugs is the misfire/miss bug which affects mostly rangers.
Rangers can't hit a crap because the arrows are flying in different direction instead on target.

But there should not be equality between solo players and multiplayer players.

This is a multiplayer game, it is not Skyrim, so so multiplayers players should have an easier life than solo players.

That's one of the problem with this event, this event is too unfavourable to solo players.

In this event PVP mechanics on the baby machine isn't the same of "Storm the Fortess".
    1) The character has the same damage without the weapon.
    2) Only skills matter (fireball deals the same damage of precise shot )
    3) attack speed and travel speed work, set bonus about damage doesn't work, all other bonus yes.
Dev promised us a complete set of PvP gears and skill for PvP battles.
Maybe this could be a test for the changes coming.
I'm sorry for the bug which affects the ranger, I'm sorry for all bug which affects the game, and I don't understand why the Dev take so long time to fix.

I shouldn't be equal to a newbie LOL, if this is the path of DSO this year we can all just melt our t8 items, they laugh of us farming during years for nothing, gearless pvp, gearless pve, what was the goal of the players? get strong gear. L O L

Two of us finished the event with no problem. The machine babies are base damage only, so use your attack speed set up, and pet ( raptor). Farm Spiky Valley solo, you get more drops of oils by far than with group. Farmed enough to do 10 runs at a time, then do the Machine babies. One person defends and kills Rocketmen, the other just whacks away at the Machine Babies. It goes very fast, less than 10 minutes a run this way. the defending person can use damage or attack speed. We did Inf 3, and started with fatal. Fatal was too slow in progress. We also had a ranger in the last runs, who did the defending, and I ran and killed Rocketmen. it worked very well. I suggest rangers, mechs, etc use a DK for the Machine babies, and they do the defending and killing of Rocketmen. Overall, a great event, a new event. The mount is great, the best so far, and something new- unlike an animal or broom or chariot, etc. Spend 2-3 hours farming solo in Spiky Valley to get the oils, then do 10-15 runs to Machine Babies. it goes quickly, and doesn't get boring- as you switch out between farming at a nice pace and running the event progress. So get oils solo, as I was getting 1-3 per run in group, while my partner got 5-8. Solo, I got more. Make sure to use your Winter Solstice cape to get more oils! It really helps. Everyone got that one way or another. Use the cape, and use the event cape on top, blue 3-hour cape. If you use the 3 hour, have all your oils already, then you can just do the progress bar quickly. Do not worry about gear and damage-it's based on your base damage in class, so use attack speed., use your attack speed runes, and pet, and the cape. Attack speed makes short work of it. Group with long range fighters and DK . Dk for machine Babies and long range for Rocketmen. There is still time to finish it. I thank Traki for his advise, and used it. It works.

the goal of the player should be to enjoy .
How is important for you the image of yourself that you are able to show in this virtual game?
It's the key for the door of fun,
    not what you want,
but what you can get from the game.

Why aren't those bugs fixed? This is a serious bug, not some detail.

Here is the problem with the event and what most of the players are pointing to. I spent 2-3 hours per day, for days in a row, in normal mode (for maximum efficiency), just to collect mixtures. I haven't played in normal mode in years. It was a super tedious and uber boring gameplay, hours after hours, hundred of runs per day with no reward, no skills needed, no challenge and the total opposite of fun. After a while I didn't even see the screen, my mind was somewhere else, my hands playing automatically, thinking how stupid the game is and that I should just delete the character and go and watch funny cats vides on youtube instead. I don't even know how I managed to get the royal gem (that with my luck of course wasn't offensive) and, after that, I just said F this and forgot the event even exists.

I, wholeheartedly, agree. I love the game but I only play on NORMAL difficulty. Just don't have the time to invest in it any other way. I am fine with the laboratory map, and even the difficulty to get TO the machines, but those machines are SUPREMELY difficult to stop, making it take way too long to complete. Not enough mixtures are dropped for a "trial and error" approach. Sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining about the game being too hard, as it should be difficult to make it fun and rewarding, but this is just too much. Maybe change it up to be more condusive to average characters.

I was looking for this answer. Now, I don't need to post the question. THank you. However, if the event is back next year, and is just as impossibky difficult, I probably won't play.

    --- MERGED ---

YES! I was wondering about the drop rate, whether or not I'd have enough. Got my butt handed to me with a Ranger. Don't have any of the special armor & weapon sets to make me faster. I hope, sincerely, that things change if they plan on bringing the event back next year. The difficulty in just defeating the machines should be reduced some, in my opinion.

The problem with those machines is not that strong players are equal to newbies, it is that it makes progress completely trivial.

Players want to feel a progression when they keep playing and trying to drop something for months and finally it drops and you make a craft after many months, then you feel rewarded. If there's no more progression here cause they delete all what we achieved in the past, this game just become pointless, a place where weepers are rewarded and not those who really strive to get something.
If they tell you that in 2020 they will erase your stats, would you have done the same during 2019? Would you have tried to make better crafts, better gems? Surely not, and if the game is no longer about progress, it makes no sense to play, if they give you a gem in an event and then deactivate it in pvp or eliminate damage in pve. Completely absurd.

I have been playing since 2011 and I have seen many changes that forced me to start again with my character.
Surely the top decision makers change and the game changes with them.
When you started playing you had to accept their terms which include their ownership of your character.
What would you prefer? lose your character or start all over again?
if you think you don't like to continue starting over and over again,
you can decide to leave the game, but you will have lost your time anyway.
So have fun based on the moment without becoming too attached to your character ;)
