So yeah, I just need to get this off my chest and I d like to know if there are more players out there that were 'just unlucky'.
In my guild there were 3 guys that went all out to build the dragan set from scratch farming at dragans refuge (difficult). Me and 2 others. The other 2 got the set in 55 and about 60 kills, no invisible lasers or other problems. Me however, well... i'm a comlete different story.

First off, i was suffering from the laser bug in Dragan normal, castle ravencaw and dragan hard about every second entrance. In the castle it s not a big deal, but with dragan it a huge problem. After R138, trying to solve this by faking a DC it would cost me an extra pearl for dragan hard every time. I wrote to support about it, but they couldnt do anything. After losing some pearls this way i had to team up with a guildie, while it was easier for me to fight dragan alone.

Now here the fun starts. My guildie finishes the set after about 60 kills, but decides to stay and help me out even up to the last second of the event. Yep, he s an awesome guy (we re an awesome guild :D). So in the last 15 kills, after him finishing his cloak, he drops another 4-5 cloaks, and got 2. Then the event ended.

So, i made 75-80 dragan hard kills, and only dropped 14 cloaks. That's a droprate of less then 1/5. Now i can understand not getting a single cloak in he first ten kills and getting 6 in the next ten kills. But after 80 kills the droprate should even out. According to the guy from support the droprate at dragan hard was supposed to be 1/3. After explaning everything to him, this was his reply:

Just as the over-all drop-rate for "heads" on a coin is 50% and so is that of "tails" does not mean flipping the coin will necessarily give a head, tail, head, tail, etc result or even that 100 flips of the coin will give 50 heads and 50 tails, neither does an observed drop-rate of around 1/3 for cloaks in hard mode in my personal experience mean that everyone will get a cloak every third kill of Dragan. Some may get cloaks more often. Some may get them a lot less often. That's how "random" works.

So yeah, after spending 30 k ander on essences, revives and spirit stones... and spending 300+ saved up pots, a whole bunch of saved up blue essences and 300+ gold on buffs, i pretty much feel ripped off.

Since i only had my guildies to compare with, I'd like to know whether i was really that unfortunate and unlucky, or whether there are others like me out there. So please let me know how many dragan kills you made, whether it was on hard on normal, and how far you got with the dragan set, especially how many cloaks you got.

What i m most interested in, is how many dragan kills you made, whether on hard or normal and how far you got with the cloak.

Hrmmm, i got bored with the event. My DK had 1 squire cloak from before and killed dragan enough times to get 3 more to get to one knight cloal, then i did other things. I want to say i got 1 cloak from dragan normal killing him 3 times and then got 2 cloaks from dragan hard after killing him 5 to 7 times.

My DK friend killed Dragan (in hard mode) 47 times. He started the event with 3/16 capes. I completed the whole set in the first event so
I didn't made any count for this one xD

My drop rate was just over 25%. This was 226 kills, I kept track of kill count from the draken increase X10 and keeping track of the 100 1000 drops.

I myself killed him about 300+ times in hard and a few times in normal this event, although i had completed the set already in the first event. I completed the set again, got maybe 2 more warlord capes and several helmets and pauldrons. With about 12k drakens earned. 3x 1k drops and several 100s.

My thread got moved to this one as a regular post?! :( why?

From the few reactions i see, i still have the the idea most people had a droprate of about 1/3 - 1/4.

lol, you 're a real diehard :D grats on the 12k draken. though with only 2 warlord cloaks in 300 kills you seem to be one of the 'just unlucky' guys with a cloak droprate of less then 1/5. Only in your case you had it already so it didnt matter.

Anyways, i think its time for DSO to go back to the progressbars in events so everyone will get the big reward with the same amount of effort. In that case if i dont get the reward i can say, some guys got it fair and square through hard work and i didnt work hard enough. Now some people get the reward easypeasy and others who put in almost double the effort dont get it.

It is easy to distort any true statistical value into a hasty generalization, which is false. It is also true that individual players sometimes can make poor decisions to reach a particular goal.

It is obvious from individual results that other factors are in action. Severely skewed results indicate a skewed distribution, or more likely, program or operational overrides that destroy normal distributions. It may be the developer's intention to deliver the same probabilities to each player, but that is not the final result.

And if the probability of an item dropping is outrageously high, like 1 in 500,000 players per month, we can expect to be chasing illusions. Items in an event set or a quest set should have the same probability of dropping; that is a reasonable expectation. DSO should only offer obtainable goals, not impossible ones. They can still give us challenges, but all should be real.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck... I had my share of bad luck at the last Sargon event in April. Since then I learnd my lesson and started to enjoy other thing, more fun than this annoying game :D
I killed Dragan 1 time this event, to complete the Revenge quest. It dropped the helmet and 100 drakens.

PS. They are just 1s and 0s. Don't be sad about some numbers :) Not worth it ;)

Is warlord set sopose to increase only total weapon damage or increase damage done to mobs/other player? Confused.

It is total damage. Just put on the full set with a 2H, and then take off the cape while looking at your character stats. You will see the damage change.
