Rubber band effect

    new player trying out the game, maps load slowly i understand that.
    I am getting this rubber band effect where I am bouncing back and forth
    though the map. When I finally reach a portal and click on it, I get stuck.
    Is there anyway to just down load the whole game?

    maps shouldn't load slow at all, they generally populate instantly (some visuals things might take a little longer, monsters seem to only load upon getting into range distance). This rubberband effect is Lag, where you will bounce around, stuff wont load, and again the exit / zone freezes during lag will leave your character stuck until a solid connection is made.

    afaik the game is downloaded in full via client.

    ive had many problems with connections to their game servers (or my ISP has trouble connecting to their euro servers), at times this is unplayable due to lag, other times it runs like a charm.

    i could never rule out poor hardware, but i'm using a 12 year old laptop, surely, this game doesn't use a lot of resources..
