Rune Hands

Where does the skill "Rune Hands" fit with all this? One of my ranger characters has this, but I've no idea how to use it...

 

Rune's Hands is not a rune ... it is actually a quest item needed for this quest http://drakensangonline.wikia.com/wiki/Sigrismarr's_Shackle

 

Wow... what blast from the past. The red exclamation marks, the old crafting bench, the locked 7th skill slot and cape slot, no mount hot key or essence swap, crystals of truth, level based HP pots, 4 pages of inventory, the essence slot on the character display, no sort button, and no locker access from inventory. It feels so weird seeing this after so long. At the same time, it shows how little the start of the game has changed.

 

I can't complete this quest until I reach lvl 50, which I doubt very much I can do. All the websites needed are blocked off until lvl 50. I'm doing other quets instead.

 

What do you mean you can't complete the quest until you are level 50?
That quest is available at level 35 ... are you are trying to play the quest in other difficulty than normal ? If yes ... you can't complete any quest at higher difficulty. All quests in all dungeons are available only in Normal Difficulty.
It is written on each dungeon's door

 

They used to be available at lvl 35, they are now set at 50. Eternal Watch is one of them that has been changed to 50, recently. I know what I have to do, enter Eternal Watch and then enter the sector that only has access from Eternal Watch, and defeat the monster in there to collect the item needed.

 

Ah ... no no no ... Eternal Watch and all the other maps are still the same level ... you are referring to higher difficulty maps which were introduced with R200.

When entering the map you should select Normal Mode.



If you try to enter any other difficulty ... you will get notification "You have not fulfilled this region's entry requirements" because :
- you are lower level than 50
- you have not completed all the necessary quests (in normal difficulty)



When getting the entry screen on the door ... you just slide left-right and change difficulty .

I can see what you have done. Players can themselves set the level of difficulty of each dungeon. This is a new concept for me, I have gone to Eternal Watch and doing one of the quests there.
