running in place

i seen to get alot of running in lpace while i try toattack an enemy. what causes this ?

i also see this happen when i go to take an item or open a chest.

 

That is because you are clicking on the opponent/chest.
It never happened to me with opponents while I am playing on ranged class ... but it is happening quite often when I try to open a chest or click on quest item.
But ... when I play with a DK it is happening often (running in place or running forward and progressing very slowly) even if I hit the opponent. Another annoying "feature" introduced in the game since recently. XD

 

Another thing could be if the monster that you are attacking teleported itself, then you may see this issue. One way to avoid this is to use Shift+Attack, but i know sometimes it could be painful to always keep it pressed.

 

this been here since last few updates and been mentioned, by me anyway a few times. it happens to me pretty much every time I try and hit an enemy with deadly blow, only way round is I need to move then try again, not sure if its when you click at a certain range to the items etc but it is very annoying
