Sapphires or Onyx?

    I have enough andermant that I can increase my sapphires and/or onyx. Here is where I'm at now with my soon to be level 50 spellweaver:

    I would like to combine the onyx into only one of the slots, and use the open slot for more sapphires. The only problem is I'm wondering if I will lose too much offensive ability by pulling back on the amount of onyx.

    I would go for better speed as I personally find anything lower than 2.01 unplayable. if that is another speed breakpoint ofc. Now you can also improve speed with wisdom, so speed for me would be an option for sure. And it doesn't look you will lose lots of dps by lowering crit. I use 1 onyx gem in my build (290), 4 sapphires, 5 rubies. Switch to 1/7/2 for PVP, as I prefer 2.37 when pvp-ing.

    Sapphires. For both of my toons, i use 5 rubies in the weapon and 5 sapphires in the other offensive gem holder.

    Now that they have nerfed crit hit rate, it isn't even a question. Unless you are a low level twink that could get 80% crit rate from one or two large crit gems, speed gems are the only one of the two that are worth spending ander on.
