selling/melting items containing gems

    I cannot melt a (meltable) item that has a gem embedded in it, and the wording suggests that I could remove the gem if necessary. also, when I try to sell an item with a gem in it, the language is, "your (item) still has a gem attached" or words to that effect. Theimplication, again, that if I weren't such a dunderhead I would remove the gem first...am I missing something?

    Hi @ardyssblue2 , before melting or selling item you should remove all gems from that item. You can remove gems at Jewelers.

    yeah dude the more you play the game the more important and you will see how difficult it is to find gems look after them. They are expensive and provide strength to your player
