Seriously, do any other English Speaking play this game?

I have been playing about a week now, and I have yet to find a single English speaking player. Believe me I have tried, I have visited Kingshill a number of times seeking in region and misc whispers to people. One guy had USA English under his name, I chased him down trying to add him as a friend and managed to whisper to him a couple of times, but he didn't answer

I managed to even get a Guild Invite but there were zero English speaking people in it.... Either I learn Spanish or Portuguese, or I leave the game. It seems really fun to... shame...

 

What server are you on?

 

Yea, What server? And if the answer isn't Agathon, leave and come to the server where I could name 4-6 good strong English speaking guilds. One week is not so long that you wouldn't benefit from changing servers before you end up investing too much time in a server with low a low quantity of English speakers.

 

I am on Agathon, but I cannot get anyone to speak to me in Kingshill or any of the zones I have been in. I am up to Slifmoor now, nada... I play Ladeegaga BTW ...

 

Check here and you will see several, including DeathInc and it's associated guilds (of which I am a member and have several toons in their various branches), and Slitrobo's "Nobles of Duria," and many others. Some are picky and elite about who they let in (Diciples of Chaos). Others are rather new and haven't made a name for themselves but you could help them (like "UseEnglish").

 

Try Tegan Sever....there are those whom speak Spanish but for the most part everyone speaks English.

 

I've noticed that most of the time english speakers will turn off local chat in urban areas. Truthfully, I get tired of all the jajaj's and all that other crap lol

Tegan has active English speaking players. Grammar, on the other hand, is debatable. That's part of its charm. I still see lots of good friendly player interaction. I don't see very much in the way of player's harassing one another. If folks ask for help, I see plenty of willing players offering to assist.

 

Shame. I don't play on that server (though it defaulted me there when I was visiting VA this past summer) but you ever play on other servers like Tegan or Heredur, there are English typing players lurking about. I'm one of those random folks who tend to strike a conversation or two aside from my dailies, etc. so look me up if you need.

 

It is hard to find English speakers on Agathon sometimes, because so many of the newer players are Latino. The USA population is changing. Agathon does also draw from Central and South America, and some European and Pacific countries, too. Middle Eastern residents are starting to show up here. Exciting times.

The times you play can make a big difference as well.

Some of the "foreigner" speak better English than we do. LOL.

Hey man, I'm also about a week on the Agathon, and I haven't seen any English speaking players either. It also defaulted me there. My toon's name is Necronomica. The server is down at the moment, so I think I spelled it correctly, LOL!

I'm on most of the time during the day, um... US Central time as I live in the Chicago area.

 

If you want add Conan72 to your friends list. I'm always happy to chat with another American. Chicago huh. Sunny Florida here

Hello there JLPicard001 and fellow Durians,

The Agathon server has quite a few players that speak the English language for that I can personally attest. Hard core players that truly love the game ...
Being a new player (70 days as of today) my advise is to try to find a guild ... I find that usually the players that speak the same language tend to group together ... mornings (US time) are slow but you will find a questing buddy near your level (+/- 5 levels) if you look a little.

Try Triangle, Stickypudding or Silentinsanity all of those are names of active guilds, I personally know they are all full of English hacking, Typonese speaking, I mean English speaking players who are active, pretty much on a daily basis and the people in all three of the guilds aren't half bad either. They are all three full of people who are willing to either give advise or help depending on the need at hand.

We are around, just out of town, so don't frown, we will come back down so hang tight and stay in sight and don't give up on any stinking fight!
