    I tried to complete quest but my character was not strong enough and I died and had to leave the passage. I cannot get back through the portal because I do not have a steam core. I have contacted support to see if the could reset the quest but they said no. I have tried all their suggestions about completing the daily quests to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to get another steam core.

    If you have Premium you can buy those daily chest at Emilia for 1k ander/each and you might get one. The Terrifying Shadows event I believe have some as rewards in the progress bar to.

    You can also go to the shop, under "General" & buy one for 5k ander. There's other ways I'm sure, but I'm half-asleep getting ready for bed, so that was all I could think of right now.

    If you do plan to use ander for one, don't forget to do your "Daily Deal" selections first.

    At the portal door in Andrakash, there is an NPC who gives you a quest to get steam cores, it involves killing guardians in the secret lairs.
