I click, and a message : special monster have appeared
But where? How to know it's the special monster?

 

its not amonster what i know only some blackhole and drop some
materi frag

 

the special monsters have a glowing circle under them that denotes the type. when you hover over them the health bar will show you the skills they have if you cant use the colour to tell. what garonx is thinking of is a different scroll that makes materi portals appear that last for 30s and drop materi frags when you kill them.

make sure you click the scroll before you clear the map though as it will turn some existing monsters into special monsters. if you have cleared the map then use the scroll no monsters will appear.

You're mixing up what is being talked about.

Here are the three kinds of podiums:

Gives you a +25% boost to your drops of Materi frags.


This is the one you are thinking about that summons 5 Fissures that each drop fragments.


This is the one they are talking about that summons an extra mini boss.

 

Some people are strong enough to run through mobs and kill those portals only and reset the map.This is one of the high end materi frag farming trick used by strong chars .... so no , they are not noobs

 

That it it on the nose. I've farmed 3k-4k in an hour before on Fatal... but I only do it solo. Anyone who clicks on it in a group before the monsters are sufficiently cleared deserves to be called a noob.

 

Some teams take extra time to find a map with the Scroll of Materi Lore.
5 people leave group and go to different maps. The first one to find a good map will invite the others. It takes a little longer to start the killing, but all maps are extra materi fragments.

PS. This is a trade secret, so don't tell anyone.

 

Turns out 3k-4k is a conservative estimate... I could likely hit 5k with no buff and a little luck. I broke out one of my 100% buffs and I had an hour of fun. Results are here.
