Announcement Steam Early Accces Information

You probably have noticed that we will be expanding and adding Steam as a platform Drakensang Online
will be playable on!

This has sparked up a lot of discussions about the decision. We have closely followed the conversations you had and want to give you some information regarding the Steam launch.

First of all, the core reason for getting Drakensang Online on steam is to attract new players and
have another platform to gather feedback from and work with.

Though with all the awesome feedback we have received from you, there are also a couple of questions and
concerns which were being shared.

Let us get right into it then:

The Early Access Steam version will not differ from the already existing Drakensang Online Client version, you are still playing the same game.
Although, it is possible to crossplay with players who are using Steam and the client version!
No reworks are being introduced and nothing is being shutdown.

You will not lose your progress and there won't be a soft nor a hard reset, but your account progress will not be transferred from the client version to the steam version.
You can still play with your DSO account using the Client version and will be able to do so in the future.

When using Steam as a platform, a new account will be created which is linked to your Steam account.
Keep in mind that you can only play this account using Steam.

We will be using the already existing servers for the Steam players and we might introduce more DSO server in the future.

Also, the Steam release is not a leak for an upcoming Content Expansion.. but more info on that soon
