Surprise Box Changes? Intelligence Fail on DSO part.

Have to laugh at it. DSO blames buffs for PvP imbalance. Seriously? That is going to fix the whole messed up PvP system...right.
Here's a fact DSO/BP/Whoever "thinks" they know what the game needs or doesn't need. Those buffs help weaker players in boss battles, they help everyone in boss battles. Why not just disallow them in PvP like you did pets, etc. Why remove them completely? Oh, more lockpicks so people hopefully buy ander to ID the gear that comes out of those chests that needs identifying.
You took the Fruit of Insight from chests forcing people to spend 4 times the ander for xp buffs. Greed greed greed.
So patch 122 is all about takeaways and nothing that will actually fix PvP imbalance will as usual never be implemented. If the arrogant dev team could put aside their holier than thou mentality and actually LISTEN to the player base, there have been MANY useful PvP balance suggestions that are quite feasible to put into place.
But no, the buffs are the reason PvP is a mess. So after 122 the forums will never ever have posts complaining about PvP. That will be refreshing. I just can't wait for the PvP solution that is finally coming into game with patch 122.

 

I guess the people from dso / devs dont know how to play the game... Take stuff away instead of fixing the game....
No one wants to spend spend spend, can't you people see that yet.... Take a close look at what the players are telling you.....
If you can't fix what is broken get some people in who can...

I'm a F2P, so this action won't affect me, but claiming that this change will end unfair PvP matches, I don't think so!!!

I have played well over 1000 battles and only 3 or 5 of those battles were against players who used buffs.

Ending "buffs" won't bring fairness to PvP, it will end the easy farming of main bosses, like Mortis (thats the really reason).

Many members in this forum have already given so many ideas to fix PvP matches and BP ignored them all...!!!

 

It's not fair to remove this kind of items from game nothing at all .


if you talk about unfair pvp match so dont allow players to use them on pvp as pets

most of players need buffs to kill mortis like mage and Dwarf cant tank him without buffs cause they have low armor and low hp they are not as rangers and Dragon knights .

its not all players who have strong friends to tank for them Mortis ... deleting this items is a bad choice

 

Its not a bad choice for Big point. If you look from businessman point of view, it will generate more revenue for big point, as we will be using more reds and more anders to revive ourselves if we die while killing mortis and other big bosses. Use of those buff in PVP is just and excuse!! If they wanted they could simply disable the the buffs in PVP just like pets and stones!!

hmmm... balance pvp... ok. so maybe you want nerf red essences too coz that is almost the same thing than using blessing? you know +40% or +50% not big difference? Like many have said this is a right thing to do but wrong way...

 

Guys, it seems you all missed the part that says "this is the first step"

To me that means they are attempting to strip down PvP to the bares, and work on rebuilding it and refocusing, and rebalancing.

And it was just a matter of time before these items were removed, as stated they were removed from the shop a long time ago, this is the next step.

Instead of shouting and yelling about them being removed, and pulling the negative from this step that the developers and game designers have taken, please instead take the positive part from it "THE FIRST STEP" Instead of grabbing pitch forks, grab some party hats to the fact that PvP IS indeed being worked on.

 

I see no real problem with this change. Actually I remember in the old forum many people complained about these blessings. Some are never happy I guess.
Also, I don't want to seem condescending, but:
- since when are mages supposed to be tanks?
- why do you forget that Mortis was made easier with several patches after feedback from the community? (let me add that I, a dk, had long avoided fighting Mortis because I HAD to buy red AND blessings to kill - now I don't)
- are you so sure that trying to get blessings wasn't actually just "spend spend spend"? I remember using up 2k ander on boxes and getting just 1 speed blessing (and most dks needed at least 2 power blessings + red to kill Mortis back then)

Mortis has less hp now. Souls are easier. He's doable without blessings and even without red. Removing blessings will affect mostly shoppers who farmed/are farming Mortis as if he was a minor boss.

 

Everybody are talking about "how bad" is BP's business policy and how much they will lose. I personally, as a gamer, don't care how much they are about to lose (or do they) ... but I like these changes. And if they ban buffs from the arena too ... I will like it even more.
It is obvious that big money spenders are complaining ... f2p players don't buy those chests.

Ummmm you can take it all away, the fact of the matter still remains it's broken,it's unbalanced and always will be....Take the buffs away, take the gems away... Oh and most importantly take the botters away
Take everything away so we don't have to spend anders woot woot, this is why we have gold copper silver, this is why people farm.... If everyone stopped buying and filling BP pockets, then and only then you might see changes and fixes....And maybe some dev's should trying playing the game too....They talk the talk, but can they walk the walk.....

BP would just sell the game to the Chinese if the player base stopped spending. They don't care at all. The game has paid for itself many times over by now. Now it's just a market toy being manipulated to appease investor expectations. It's not even a game anymore. It's a tedium now that revolves around one thing. Farming.
The player base should just walk away from it. Leave the kids here because they are too dumb to know that BP is giving them a virtual wedgie.
I'm done with the game I think. And it's not about buffs, it's about the obvious lack of intelligence and foresight in BP's Team DSO Design and Development.
PvP could have been reworked a long time ago but I guess sucking on orange peels in the design room is more productive than writing in working solutions to the PvP issues.
Note to Callisto: PvP will NEVER be balanced or made fair. The first step is usually the last because your buddies at DSO are just completely overwhelmed by the ultra complicated Fame Tree monster they built and they really have no idea how to fix it. A little honesty from the design/dev side of it would be appreciated but I won't hold my breath waiting for them to admit it.

You, DSO are just hilarious. Here it is, day of 122 and guess what? 25% off on Surprise Chests! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Nothing in them except green ess 95% of the time, NOTHING else really useful and you want people to fall for the ruse and spend the 30 andermant for them?
Can I just say how truly evil you are? Did the devs get offended and decided they needed to poke at us with a petty retaliatory act? I think it is.

 

y is it so hard to get a mount i have seen lvl 3 on a mount they need to just make it to where u can buy the training to ride

 

Right i'm really happy that those has been removed but i think better idea will be keeping them in the game only for pve use and ban all potions and buffs from arena
or create new pvp event buffs and potions free and see how it goes

I will have to agree with those who dislike this removal. I would just ban the buffs from the arena.

Oh well looks like i'll save anders not buying 50-60 boxes at a time.

 

Removing surprise chest blessings was the dumbest move yet on BP's part.
