To craft a gear all we do now is put 4 gears of same rarity to get a gear of higher rarity. If we then unlock (identify) it we get 4 random enchantments each having random values.

My idea is to introduce something like a stone (or orb) that lets us "fix" one of the enchantments. Lets say that we are using a orb that lets us add one dmg enchantment to a gear. So if we put in three extraordinary ring and 3 dmg orbs in workbench we will get a legendary ring that will definitely have at least one dmg enchantment. The value of the dmg enchantment will be random.

We can target craft a legendary with more than one "fixed" enchantment. If we put one improved gear and three orbs we will get a legendary with three fixed enchantment and one random enchantment. To balance this kind of crafting the value of the "fixed" enchantment will be determined by the rarity of the gear put in the work bench. See below for more clarity on the topic.

Rarity or gear used in workbench No. of gears neededNo. of orbs usedNo. of fixed enchantmentsNo. of random enchantmentsProbability of getting high enchantment value
    Improved gear1331very low
    Magic gear2222low
    Extraordinary gear3113high
    Different kind of orbs:

    Orb of dmg
    Orb of critical value
    Orb of hp
    and so on

Orbs can be bought with anderments or farmed. Hope someone understood what I am trying to say.

    EDIT

This idea can used to craft uniques using 3 unique orbs and 1 white gear. We can get unique orbs by completing parallel world quests or from events. When equiped this unique will look the same as the white gear used to craft the unique. This way DEVs wont need to make new artwork for these uniques.
