Why do they need to update NOW? i dont have time to finish this event anyways and now this must happen...

All in all this was a really enjoyable event in my opinion. I think it was quite well balanced and the drop rate was not unbearable. Any part that was difficult was made up for by other parts that seemed way too easy. I finished within a couple of days, no problems (without premium). Now I'm just gunning for the Sargon set.

The rewards were cool, the only criticism I have is regarding the Red Armoured War Horse, I donno, I guess some lower levels might like it but I just think it's really pointless, I discarded mine almost immediately. Would be cool to have some new mounts available in the next event (that are perhaps NOT Armoured War Horses), or even, dare I say, a new epic mount?

Anyways, I'm sure the devs worked really hard to bring us this event, so for that I say thanks guys. Ultimately, t'was a lot of fun

 

OMG! This is not anymore normal!... every thime when i go sargon i get stupidd shadowboxing i get him 34 times already i go on m2 hard solo 3 times yesterday and get that stupid emote shadowboxing -.- omg do somthing with thih drop... why at the hell i am paying this game i spend a money for nothing.......

 

The event was great I completed it in 2 days but drop rate of unics are bad I got 3 times paulders 3 times claw but no sign of sargon horns for me to complete set I have 2 days hope I got horns

 

@Sierra523 , couldn't agree more, lovely post! And, since you dared to mention epic mounts, I must add - please, an epic mount that is NOT another ugly dragon, I'm sorry but I hate them. (Also not regular pvp mounts in a different colors, that would be kinda like saying - ahahaha, look you won million battles for your precious baby and now everyone can have it by doing almost nothing.. )
@domagojhusnjak , believe it or not, money can't buy you everything, specially not drop. Try harder and don't think should get anything better because you pay.

Now some crying. Drop rate of uniques is horrible, I got everything except wand and book .. I want that wand, it's pretty even though it's useless. (for those with a bad sense of humor, this was sarcasm ^^)

 

looks like i haven't complained enough...
finished event in 4 days with 2-4 hours gameplay and since then i'm farming 8 hours a day for those horns...
imho they gave this game an artificial intelligence
it knows what you would like to get and never drops that item

now feedback : i liked the event, but i hate the countless shadowboxing emotes and cloaks...
i only want the horns

 

Don't forget the second part. Never stop trying. It took me over 75 trips to kill Sargon before I got the drop of the helm.

 

then i got around 25 more tries
anyways i lost hope... i will continue to try, but only because there is still a little time left. too bad this ruined the whole event for me

 

this event is v bad......... no drop of helmet in more than 100+sargon normal and 15 sargon hard .only premium ppl are getting more drop rate
devs have no sense how to create a game
only shadow boxing and shadow band forever

 

just curious if folks think it's a coincidence all the HUGE shadow drops from Sargon but only after you have finished the event? 3-500 ever since completion 5-6 days ago.
Is it necessary for DSO to throw salt in our wounds?
Not gonna bother complaining about the 'Helmet' not dropping since I hate any/all randomness in this game. If I was a lucky person I would be in Vegas not playing online games.
I know BP is making buku-bucks off Dark Orbit without any of the 'randomness' that exists here. While offering daily Happy Hours and a monthly jackpot for real cash.
Don't get me wrong,DO is a bigger money pit than DSO. DO got so bad I,like sooo many, quit after 5 years of play & $$$. But at least you knew what you were getting for that $$$.

Huge amounts of Shadows after completing event...coincidence or not?

 

As a staunch advocate of free to play, I normally don't bother with events if they involve a lot of dying, which for me is usually the case. I decided to take my SW lvl36 and run with it this time though. I played 4-5 hours minimum every day, got as far as the draken after the staff( lvl 40 :/) and spent around 4,000 andermant before I succumbed and went premium just so that I could carry all the excess bits and pieces needed for the event. All in all not a bad outcome EXCEPT, I never got the 4th piece of the minion armour. All that effort for the helm which never dropped. I would have given up much earlier and not gone premium had I completed the armour, but then that's how we're suckered in isn't it? I wasn't interested in the wand tbh and I'm embarassed to admit it, but I already have a premium account for my lvl43 Ranger which I had decided I wanted to play - dying not being an expense for a premium member.

So, my Ranger? Yes, I played it a handful of times, lvl43 is tricky, the lvl45s don't want to be associated with us, so getting a group isn't easy, but once you're in one it's a case of just keeping up and ducking at the right time. Blink and it's over! I only got a bit less than 3,000 shadows on that one but 3 uniques (which aren't of any use to me so they got melted) and, yes you've guessed, 3 parts of the armour - again no helm.

I must have picked up 6 or 7 bands in both chars but never a helm.

So my overall feeling about the event, well frankly I'm let down and disapponted - AND I have a shed load of useless items in my inventory!

 

My favourite event so far - helped a lot by having strong toons to go solo. Many buddies struggled even in teams. I certainly did with my lvl45. But overall enjoyable regardless.

I liked the mini bosses and their skills.
I liked the maps.
I liked the sargon sequence.
Liked the guardian knight.
Liked the crit pet. Cute.
Liked that after the first hour of farming beans I could just trade green essn after one troll run for another entry.

- Disliked that 3% from the pet is almost worthless as it adds less than 1% of crit.
- The final progress rewards and the Sargon uniques were of zero interest for my rangers and mage. Maybe for DKs it's a nice set. Only my lvl21 ranger got the lvl40 arrows, otherwise no other uniques for me.
- I hate when bosses (especially event bosses) drop green items. I think that's really cheap.
I'm not one of those that whines about a lack of unique drops (I understand the word unique!) but I do think that a boss, especially a difficult map one, should at least drop me a legendary, or at the very least a couple of eo items.
- The amount of disconnections was a nuisance. Never happened inside a map at least, rather when I changed maps.

 

Its a matter of luck. I have premium still didnt get the horns. i went 42 times i didnt get it yet. There was times in Sargon hard i got only green and blue drop.(i dont know what to say of these drops in hard). I saw centurions, recruits and legionnaires (no premium) in the first two days with the full set.
There was something that the first 10 drop from sargon, were an unique. Thats why in the first 2-3 days of the event alot of people had the set. I got 2 times arrows .
Then there was an specific day everyone got an unique. coincidence???


DSO did A GREAT JOB so we can get everything from this event.
I m lvl 45 and went all the time with lvl 20-30 and i finish The event in 2-3 days and also the most of us.
Of everything i want it from Sargon, I Missed the HORNS.

Sometimes we get frustrated we didn't get what we looking for but Lets be honest guys THIS SARGON, IS THE BEST EVENT EVER.

Good event. I was able to finish it easily on my SW and get the full powerful set right at the end. I thought it was too easy at first but then I tried it on my alt and I could see the difference.

Some ideas for the next one:
1. It’s been proposed before but it would be nice to be able to combine 3 or 4 shadow stones into a better one.
2. A side quest to turn the shadow steed or any of the other horses into an epic mount like the xmas event. I would be fine if it’s the same horse with fire or smoke effects like the minion costume.

There are rumors that this is the last Sargon event. I really hope not because these have been the best events of the game. The earliest Sargon I can remember is the Bloody Harvest from 2012. Maybe there were earlier ones but you should recycle these and start over for the players who haven’t been playing since 2012 or before.

 

You're right, that was the first one. It was also one of the first real events along with the earliest versions of the Lost Truth event. Sargon has been around for a long time and while we may not see him in the Shadow Fort again, I'm sure we have not seen the last of him.

 

finished event & got both my drops (pauldron & claw) in first couple days. So spending 7-8 days just for a helmet (1 of only 2 pieces left of any interest for me in entire game) and not getting it is tough to sell as success. 1 Mighty port in 5 days isn't helping either.
if you only wanted Draken I guess this was a good event. useless for me unfortunately.
After a year of play it would have been nice to have a complete set of any kind.
Most certainly this is the last BP game I play.

& whole weapon set=junk

 

Valetias mythic quiver dropped in troll canyon by night (for the 2nd time)

 

And the Ring of Inner Fortitude dropped for me in The Shadow Fort... too bad it sucks for a DK.

 

Too bad I melted both of them.... I used the glyphs to upgrade my shield (50,53% chance of block)

 

I didn't got the sargon set but I got keens fists from m2 hard
