Test Server, July 15, 2015

The test server has 5 events going at once! Awesome. It would be nice to have these kinds of choices on a regular basis. You do get our hopes up, that all of these events will actually appear in the game again, and soon.
Problems seem minimal today, everything seems to be working as it should. Congratulations.

It was rather aggravating earlier, to have multiple sales balloons, touting the Andermant deal. They never went away.

 

And the LVL 50 mini event looks promising!
There are sets that contain 8 (DK) or 9 (RA, SW, SM) items that have bonuses for 4 and 6. The max you could be wearing is 7, but there is no bonus for that.

DK's get a 2H that is not too bad (Seen below). Not crazy OP, but better than 90% of the 2H swords I've opened in the past year. There is also a choice of 1H sword and shield, and for 6 pieces, you could get that more than one way. You could do all 5 RHS items with the 2H, the 1H or the shield, or you could do sword and shield with only 4 pieces of the RHS gear... This should bring some much needed flexibility to the set. Also, by putting in a 4 piece set in there too, that allows it to be mixed and matched well with other sets... for example:
Wolf set + Shoulders, torso, gloves, boots.
Witch set + Gloves, boots, sword, shield
Warlord + Torso, gloves, boots, and 2H
3 piece yellow ess set + sword, shield, and two parts of the Lor'Tac set
And let us not forget throwing legendaries into the mix.

I can honestly say that I'm excited about these new items.
The only down side, each of these items comes in a box, and the boxes look like they will contain a random part. Furthermore, each box costs 225 of the pottery shards you will be able to farm in the mini event... so, lots of farming in preparation for this mini event. Also, the displayed stats of the items are at 46... My guess is that they will scale either based on when you open the box or when you buy the box, meaning that these shards will be clogging inventory for a while if I'm right and we want the LVL 50 versions of these. Again, this is just my best guess, but it is worth thinking about going into the farming phase of this event.

 

Well, it would be nice to have a nice two handed weapon like all of the other cool kids in Kingshill... but that's the dream and the reality suggests that the long bow aka "wanna be two-handed" are useless just like the blazing speed Sargon bow with 0.73 base. Only hope is that 1-handed weapon will be better, since this thing after scaling 50% of it's damage it's just... looking nice - and just that. It's strange how being allowed to use shield or quiver with long bows makes them worse than if they just were a normal, two handed weapon - but I guess rangers doesn't like to follow mainstream.

Well on another note:

In the current state those sets are scaled strangely - 750hp and 22 damage for warrior, while 490hp and 22 damage for mage so I hope this isn't the final version to them.

The base speed of this two handed weapon is 0.95 like those below 45lvl, so does this mean that the two handed slow weapons having 1.05 was just something that shouldn't be there from the first place and that warrior got that additional speed for free and the ones on 50 will have it on 0.95? Or does this mean that they increased base damage making it even more OP?

Hmm, so a flexible set that promotes diversity? Interesting... though it will be a tad weird to have a whole set that doesn't really fit together in its entirety. The bonuses should change, methinks... it should give one at 6 and one at 7, i.e. if one's gonna use the 1H + offhand or the 2H along with all the rest. What I find funny is the "title" of the second bonus... "PaySetBonus"... uhm, OK then...

I don't know... enchantments on uniques differ from class to class. For example, DKs mostly always get bigger or just simply better stats on uniques... because they're intended to be able to take a lot of damage, while technically having the lowest damage output. Now the reality is not like that at all (the damage part), but that's a whole other story.

 

If I Remer correctly some of the items where level 48 also. My guess is that all the armor will be a set level and we have to gain levels to add in the gear for the set bonus. We shall see.

 

The items were all originally displayed as LVL 48. Then, once they gave the set reasonable and believable stats, the numbers showed as 46. Given that these items will be coming from chests is why I'm banking on scaling items. We'll just need to wait for the release notes.

 

Multiple events running on TS is happening frequently.

BTW don't expect too much of that Lor'Tac event and the sets. Those are not for endgame players ... they can help newcomers to get to level 50 easier ... but without any significant impact to endgame players.

 

Agreed. Once LVL 50 has been out for a couple of months, we will start seeing what a true end game LVL 50 toon will look like. However, until that time, these items will be very helpful on the way to 50... even for some presently end game LVL 45s.

 

I love these new events coming , but 1 thing I hope we get....Dragan (new version) and (kingshill defend and werian defend ) , ive only played 2.2 years but ive seen some events I want back :|
